Bill Willingham, for the uninitiated, is a brilliant comic book writer and artist (though mainly writer these days, though he did draw Nightcrawler's feet for me at a convention... long story), and creator of Fables, one of my favorite Vertigo series. Though he has done some superhero stuff as well. So, I wonder if this means anything?

Willingham wrote what is, in my opinion, the best single-issue superhero comic book ever written: Elementals V.2 Issue 15.

After the comic company that published his stuff, Comico, folded (just as his writing took a turn for the brilliant) he did a very naughty comic called Ironwood, until somehow he ended up with Vertigo and Fables.

He also did a number of the covers to some classic D&D modules. But yeah, he's Guest Authoring stuff.
