So in light of certain anagrammatical insights, I wondered what, if anything, might be revealed in a similar way about the other known Menders of Ouroboros. Well, it turns out there really aren't many anagrams of "Mender Lazarus" ("snare drum zeal" being the best I could find, but the Z limits things quite a bit) or "Mender Roebuck" ("cerebrum end OK"; this guy really needs some better consonants). I just got finished watching this hilarious clip of Ron Burgundy interviewing Tom (Damn) Brokaw.... and I noticed some familiar music at the beginning.  It sounds to me like a slowed down version of the music you hear when approaching City Hall in Atlas Park.

Is this song exclusive to CoH, or is it some Garage Band music that is under Creative Commons or something?

I had the joy of reinstalling Windows today. CoH is on the data drive, but it's acting as though it was needing to be reinstalled. I click the updater and it asks where I want to install it. And it won't take the current directory as usable. Any way around that? Or will I have to reinstall it all again?

What are your thoughts on a voice chat option for CoX? The system they are going to integrate would be optional and through the PlayNCSoft website, not the CoX launcher.

I, for one, really only ever voicechat with people in my guild/SG/whatever and even then that is rare and often not useful anyway unless everyone on the team/group/whatever is on the chat, or the non-voice people get left out and any organizational benefit is lost. Voicechatting with people I don't know I find to be f'ing horrible and I sincerely hope that our game doesn't go in the direction of "You must have voicechat activated or you're off the team."

This is by no means an exhaustive list, this is merely the starting point.

Things I'm looking forward to doing when I12 goes live:

- Confusing those Roman healers so they can rawk me with their auras

- Getting Oroborous some sweet, sweet Roman armor and using the Imperious TF to ding 50 with him ( my first blue side fifty!)

- 10 Global channels, so I can add stuff back I've had to delete. Sweet!

- Real Numbers (TM) on how much XP I need to ding and how much Inf I'm hauling around.

- Low level teams where the all the dinging will lead to Tier 3 Insp-O-Rama uberness.

- And speaking of Insps... being able to take 3 of those damn blues my /Regen scrapper seems to get like lint on a suit and turning them into something useful. Verily, that will Rawk.

We've been having people ask, so we thought we'd let you all know. When Issue 12 launches, or shortly thereafter, we will be giving out a free respec. Given that you can only have 1 free respec on a character at a time, if you already have a free respec saved up from a previous grant, you might want to make plans to use it, knowing that anther free one is coming.

As for the actual timing of the free respec grant, I don't have a public date for that yet. Once we do, we'll let you all know.

I was asked for a ship raid and since Kin wanted to do it since the Rikti are back I finally want to go for it.

Honestly, I´ve never done this before so it will be a challenge for me. Lemme ask a few questions before I´m going to the team stuff:

- Is a ship raid like a TaskForce? There is that annoying guy at the Vanguard base who always wants to draw me into this job ^_^
- If it´s like fighting a Giant Monster, can we go with two teams?
- What about the team level, the usual sking or is it not nec. (like with a GM)?
- How long does it take?

Maybe there are some experienced people who can tell me a about a ship raid, otherwise my team has to share my challenge with me ;P

I decided to cancel this and to try to get on a ship raid as a participant to gain experience. And I´m happy I asked before going on my personal desaster ^_^

I searched thorugh the forum but didnt find what I was looking for so I am posting.

So I got my Science Fire/Rad toon Smallpox to 47 and have been playing the Fire epic a little (Just fireball and just took shield) and don't know if I should swap or keep going.

Have not gotten Consume yet and it looks yummy but Psi is looking good for all the darn Carnies and Rikti

Primal looks interesting just to do a Power Boosted EMP (does PB work on AM?)


ARG! I want them all!

My play style is mainly just with my wifes Energy/Energy Blaster and we are not very go go go we take our time playing.

Oh and even though I feel I have things slotted great and nice sets I still seem to burn End like mad so may dump my Assault toggle.

So what experiance do you have to share?

I'm trying to copy a character from Protector to Test. Even though the copy page says the character has been copied, several hours have gone by and he's still not there. Is there a problem with Test, or are there just a bunch of people all trying to copy over?

It's been awhile since I had that tickle in my brain that indicates a concept that won't be going away.  I came upon the idea of a toon whose origin is mutation.  His mutation is ... blood-lust!   I'm thinking a DB/WP brute, but I already have one of those.  Perhaps a DB/SR?  Or is that setting myself up for frustration?  Anyone have one that'd like to share their thoughts?

So I just ran the Cimerora TF/SF, and I have to say, it's really, really fun. It's like a non-stop brutegasm. The final fight requires actual strategy to win, much like the boss fights in WoW. Thank god I read the post in the dev tracker that tells you what the different AVs do.

I swear, the last fight took about half an hour, but we did it. I can't wait to run it on live with the vent crew.
