syncing tr-606 w/ circuit bent toy.
Im really excited about this!
The box is not done yet but here are some of the first tests.
I am using the 'trigger outputs' from the 606 to trigger the sounds in the toy.

Me on the box & haltucker rockin' the 606 (http://haltucker.com/)

hmmm... thats strange. It was working earlier. Youtube has been unreliable for me lately.
there's another one that seems to be ok @ my account.

Very cool jam boys,
i'm very curious to see what's in "the box" and that 606 machine looks quite fun, i wish i had a drum machine :(

good work,
looks/sounds good so far

you guys in a band or just lab scientists?

Thanks!
We are actually both lab scientists and play in a band.
The 606 is one of my favorite pieces of gear. Great classic drum sounds and very easy to program.

This is great. Are you using some sort of a magnetic reed switch on the bent toy?

nope, it's actually much simpler. The TR-606 'trigger outs' output a 5v pulse @ each sequenced beat. If you make the ground voltages common from both the tr-606 and the bent toy, the 5v pulse acts as a button-push for the toy's sound. It's wired directly to the circuit board.

Very clever!

So do you just connect the grounds for both devices to make the even out the voltages?

That really does rock. I like the way it almost sounds like you're scratching with the sounds. Bonus points for the cute wolf too. :-)
