Finally, I have a day off. Monday was the last day at the pool. Leaving was bittersweet. I mean, part of me was sick of working there and glad to be done...but I'm also really gonna miss all the kickass people that worked there =T__T= But anyways...I've been working at Dollar General every day since then. It's not too bad, I guess. I mean, I'm already used to it and the manager is rly nice. It just sucks that I work so much. I mean, I wake up at the buttcrack of dawn, go to skool, come home, change, grab somethin' to eat, and then go to work until around 9:30. I'm way behind on all of my homework, obviously. I haven't done any of it this past week. And I told my manager this and she said that it's not gonna be like that forever, and that soon, I'll have a more consistent schedule of, like, every OTHER day or something like that. And I'll work 4-close instead of 3-close so I'll have some time between skool and work to get some homework done. And so she said she plans on hiring a new person soon to take some of my hours so I don't have to work as much. I'm rly hoping to at least get Tuesdays and Thursdays off. Cuz Tuesdays = HOUSE and Thursdays = GREY'S ANATOMY & IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. Mondays = Heroes and Wednesdays = Private Practice, but I can handle taping those and watching them later, but House, Greys and It's Always Sunny are like, my MAIN OBSESSIONS. So hopefully, that works out. Cuz if it doesn't, I dunno what'll happen =>.>;= But anyways...I bet you're all wondering exactly what I do at the dollar store. Well, I basically run the cash register, but I also have to, like, stock shit (which is hard right now because I don't know where anything goes) and straighten shit. Which is kind of ridiculous. For those of you who have worked in retail, you already know where this is going, but for those of you who haven't...EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PERFECT. Every item has to be perfectly straight and pulled ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT OF THE SHELF. My first night, I was worried that I was being TOO OCD about it, cuz I, like, made sure everything was facing front and everything looked PERFECT, but then my manager checked it the end of the night and was like, "good job...but just make sure you pull everything ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT" and the moved an item, like, HALF OF A CENTIMETER forward. I was like DX And also, it sucks straightening, because you have to keep checking to see if you have any customers up front at the register. So I'm like, frantically straightening and I have to keep running back and checking and then, like, 3 seconds after I check, I'll go back to my straightening, and my manager will be like, "RACHELLE! CUSTOMER!" and I'm like wtf, I JUST checked and there was noone there! And so I run back up front and there's, like, a LINE of people and I'm like WHERE DID THEY ALL COME FROM?! And sometimes, I'll be straightening/stocking shit and a customer will be like, "HELLO?! IS ANYBODY HERE?!" all annoyed and shit and then when I go up, they're rude to me cuz they had to wait a few seconds for me to get my ass up there DX But yeah, other than that, it's not bad. Cuz I feel like I'm already used to it. Like, it's already routine for me. And it's cool cuz it's, like, a minute away from my house, so I save lotsa money on gas. Gah, well I'm sick of typing, so I guess I'll end this now, but I just wanted to also say: OMG! IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA SEASON 3 COMES OUT ON DVD ON TUESDAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND SEASON 4 IS GONNA BE ON TV ON THE 18TH!!!

You know, without a cable box I don't watch a whole hell of a lot of TV. See, we do have digital cable in the dorms, but there's only one cable box so only one TV can have cable. This year, my roommate got dibs since last year I had it. Now, she's got a friend who is supposed to give us her cable box since she doesn't have a TV, but I haven't heard anything on that. So, I don't watch that much TV anymore.
Instead, I'm listening to a lot of music. There are songs on my iTunes I didn't even know I had. It's actually a good thing. Without TV to distract me, I write a lot more. Okay, I haven't written anything substantial or that great but I'm writing things. Which was what the stepchild post was about. I'm writing, but I don't always like what I'm writing.
Other than that, school continues on like always. No tests yet, no papers either. I'm just plugging along and doing the readings. With my short story class and poetry class I'm doing a lot of reading. My history class, I'm kinda lazy about the reading. Bad Moose.

We hear about celebs demanding so many things before they perform on stage or appear on a chat show, etc. Such as, chocolates put on a plate in a certain way; pink flowers in a hand made vases. The weirdest demands ever (I don't know if the two are true but it's sounds diva demand-ish). For Amy Winehouse, she made a diva demand which was deadly - she ordered 48 bottles of Jack Daniel's. I say 'deadly' (idk, if she was sharing the bottles with friends or bandmates) because Jack Daniel's is forty percent whisky and when I told my dad this, he said that can kill her. This was before a weekend gig at the Bestival in the Isle of Wight.
Luckily, she turned up at the gig. It wasn't aired on TV but somehow footage of Amy performing might be on YouTube (very soon). That's all

Oh, yeah, and a guy told me today (you can ask the circumstances if you want to know, but I doubt you do): "You don't look like a pink kind of girl." Which is very, very true. And it made me happy. ;P
(Considering I was sitting there in my football shirt with my dogtags, ESPN sunglasses, and pocket knife, I suppose he didn't have to be all that observant to make that observation. lol.)

Ah, the Gators are really back now. ♥ Everybody's Gator garb was out and on display today.
I figured out today that Tim Tebow will (hopefully) still be at U of F by the time I get there (barring early graduation or leaving before graduating). :D That made me quite happy...
Of course I totally love him not just because he's a great player and obviously on my favorite college team at my future college and is not bad looking, but he's perfect in that he was homeschooled (hooray!), he's a Christian who does missionary work (he's even majoring in Family, Youth and Community Services), he has an amazing anti-abortion story about his birth, he's FROM JACKSONVILLE (AH! almost hometown boy!), I actually used to go to his home church in Jacksonville, and he's just a great guy. I knew all of this before, and it made me love and respect him as a person, but I think it's developed into a sort of crush. :) Of course it has. He's like perfect.
And he's only 4 years older than me! And his b-day is in August too. :D
My sister now says I'm going to marry him and have 14 kids.
I told her that we could adopt a bunch from the orphanages in the Philippines where he ministers. :)
Hehe.
And this talk of Tim Tebow reminds me of a thing me and my brother came up with during the Olympics... thatissorockstr might enjoy part of this as it mentions our other mutual husband. :P
They always say Superman wears Tim Tebow pajamas. We said Tim Tebow wears Michael Phelps pajamas. Duh. And Michael Phelps wears Chuck Norris pajamas. And what sort of pajamas does Chuck Norris wear, you ask? Fool, Chuck Norris doesn't wear pajamas! Chuck Norris has no need for such pansy things as pajamas -- he never sleeps! :P
lol. I love Chuck Norris jokes.

Ok, so the new EW came out, we get it delivered. Which was fun before Michael Ausiello came on board. They do a huge breakdown of all the shows and what to expect from each of them for the fall. Then, in a two page article called, "Fall TV Bonus" (because I guess if you are on a cable network, you aren't grouped with the big boys.......) they mention CI. It wasn't written by Ausiello, but you see his influence.
