Jordana Brewster Joins Chuck for Multiple Episodes

Ausiello just broke the news that Jordana Brewster has joined the cast of Chuck a minimum of 3 episodes. Her role will be all over the Interwebz by tomorrow afternoon, but it is spoilery, so

This is certainly a step up from Nicole Richie. NBC's fraktacular Chuck has recruited the fraktabulous Jordana Brewster to play a love interest for Zachary Levy for a minimum of three episodes, executive producer Josh Schwartz confirms to me exclusively.

Her character, Jill, is the "mythic college girlfriend who broke Chuck's heart, slept with his best friend Bryce Larkin, and is basically responsible for setting his life crashing off course and landing him at the Nerd Herd," Schwartz explains. "He always has imagined seeing her again, and being able to impress her with all he's accomplished. Unfortunately, when he does meet her, he's doing a computer install and she's a brilliant, successful, beautiful doctor working to create antibodies to horrible diseases.

"The part is funny, romantic, there's action and cool twists and emotional drama," Schwartz continues. "It's the juiciest arc we've done yet and one that ties very deeply into the mythology of the show and the character of Chuck."

Schwartz says he has long wanted to work with Brewster, who seemed primed for small-screen superstardom last year when she was tapped to succeed Angelina Jolie in the much-buzzed-about (but ultimately doomed) Mr. & Mrs. Smith pilot. Here's hoping Chuck does for her career what that show was supposed to.

We flashback to 2003, and a new member of the Buy More team who has just spent his “break” from work driving down to Stanford to tell his girlfriend he still loves her. But Jill tells Chuck it’s over; she’s dating Bryce Larkin now.

Back in 2008, Chuck gets called in to help set up computers for a conference when who should arrive? Dr. Jill Roberts, the ex-girlfriend turned scientist. Just as she’s about to tell Chuck what he’s wanted to hear for 5 years, Jill’s boss shows up and whisks her away, but not before Chuck flashes on him in connection with bioweapons. Now Team Bartowski has to figure out what’s about to happen and stop a convention full of brilliant scientists from being the next test subjects for a virus. While Chuck plays the suave spy to get information from Jill, Sarah goes undercover as an Australian scientist and Casey tries to keep the plan together.

Summary: First of all I suck at summaries, so regard this fact as you read this. The fic fits right after the last episode aired (1x11), and it basically picks up after those events. It’s nothing more than Chuck and co. moving on with their lives, and especially centering on how Chuck and Sarah will deal with their mutual feelings. I know, this summary blows… Just read the first chapter, and you’ll get a sense of what is actually about.

Disclaimer: I don’t own the characters portrayed in this fic. I’m gaining nothing with this, except the sheer joy of being Chuck/Sarah’s puppet master.
Author's Notes: Well, I fell in love with this couple. What else can I say? I swore I’d never write another fic again (this is my second ever), but these lines and storylines kept popping in my head. And the fact that this fic exists shows how much I’m really into these two crazy kids. Anyhow, I had no other choice them to bring this to life. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I am writing it :)

We flashback to 1983, when a much younger Jeff has just won the Moto Industries video game championship with his skill at Missile Command. Sporting a mullet and a mustache, our man Jeff has a pair of bikini-clad babes in his arms and a reporter asking him what’s next. Um…

Back to present day, a crippling virus is sweeping through the Moto Industries computers. Chuck and Casey attempt to go in undercover as Nerd Herders (!) to find out what’s going on, but are rebuffed by the Moto Industries engineers. Sarah tries her hand at it instead. Somehow a gorgeous blonde who doesn’t know how to fix computers manages to gain access. They discover that terrorists have hijacked a dormant satellite and are planning to activate it and launch missiles starting a nuclear war. The code to deactive the satellite can be found on the final level of…Missile Command.

Now Chuck must find a way to beat the game before the worst happens, but there’s a final secret weapon that he’ll need to succeed: music from a certain Canadian band.

Comic-Con: Tentative Panel Schedule for 'Battlestar Galactica,' 'Lost,' and More

The San Diego Comic-Con has been a TV fan talking point for years now. Come each summer, our favorite TV show creators and TV stars gather in panels to answer fan questions, discuss behind the scenes goings on and, most excitingly, give sneak peeks of their new seasons. Also making appearances are those with brand new shows they want us to watch and love -- like new genre offerings from such famous talents as Joss Whedon and J.J. Abrams.

This year's Comic-Con is only a few weeks away and Kristin over at E! Online has the tentative panel schedule. With a potential actor strike looming and with the otherwise unpredictable nature of those in the business of show, nothing is set in stone, but it looks like the creators behind all of our favorite hit shows will be making appearances -- and letting slip the juicy advance news we all crave.

Chuck will be on Saturday, July 26 from 3:30 – 4:30pm. It's in between Pushing Daisies and Fringe, so I guess that's a good thing.

Michael Strahan and Nicole Richie to Guest on Chuck

According to the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Super Bowl champ Michael Strahan recently filmed a cameo on the set of Chuck for an episode to air October 20 (read spoilers for this episode).

"When the cameras rolled, Michael was really, really funny," said Josh Schwartz, the show's creator and executive producer. "Everyone on the set was completely blown away. Broadcasting or acting, he's got a future."

Strahan plays Mitt, the manager of a sporting goods store near the Buy More. When Mitt's employees start using the Buy More's home theater room as their personal lunch/game room, Morgan has to confront Mitt in a might showdown.

Although Strahan's role was supposed to be a one-off, but he so impressed Josh Schwartz that Mitt may be back.

"After everyone saw him, they were like, 'Well, maybe we should get Mitt back here,' " Schwartz said.

Meanwhile, People Magazine reports that new mom Nicole Richie will be guesting on Chuck in episode 2.04 (spoilers). She will play “snarky and spiteful girl who tortured” Sarah during high school. In the episode, airing somSarah “must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion,” for a mission with Chuck as her date.

Schwartz says, “Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny. This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”
