9:04 am - That's 'SIR Christopher' to you

purple_pen
Many congratulations to Christopher Lee on finally getting that knighthood. I'm sure he'll be annoyed by all the news headlines referring to him as 'horror actor' or 'Dracula star'. But I expect the new title will sugar the pill. :-)

I posted the video clips from CL's appearance in the interactive Rocky Horror video game. However, this gets very Rocky Horror itself.

6:49 pm - Hello!

magadin
I am so pleased to meet you all!

Oh I love Christopher Lee for so many reasons.  Not only is he a talented actor, but he's tall, dark, handsome, intelligent...and that voice!   I could listen to him read the entire phone book to me.  He is absolutely my favorite actor, bar none.  I own Rhapsody cds because of the man.

My very favorite movie of his would have to be The Wicker Man.  Other favorites include The Mummy, Theatre of Death, Gormenghast, The Lord of the Rings, and The Last Unicorn.

There are so many movies of his I'm dying to see including: Jinnah, The Devil Rides Out, and Cowboys for Christ!

Hideously annoying and unlinkable flash website masks much coolness! I am actually tempted to find out when it's on and give my thirty pieces of silver to the Murdoch MoneySucking corporation Sky...

Filch1 as Cohen!!
C Lee as Death!!!
Tim Curry!!!!2

I squeed from the Anthill Inside3 logo on loading to the little octarine sparkles round Great A'Tuin. So David Jason is too old to be Rincewind, and Sean Astin is not Japanese enough to be Twoflower... THEY CAST C LEE AS DEATH!!!!!4

* happy dance *

(Am X-posting this in all sorts of places, but restricting the comments to one post, mainly for my own sanity. That post is this one)

1 Those of you who know me of old know that I used to roleplay Argus Filch, with great joy and gusto, and I am so stoked to see the actor get another good part he can get his teeth (troll denshures or otherwise) into.

2 Yes, I am fully aware of what Pterry has to say about people who use multiple exclamation marks, thank you.

3 Because it's so clearly based on Paul Kidby's artwork YAY!

4 Yes, OK, I'm getting a bit Salzella now, I shall stop. Still, SQUEEEEEEEE!!!

3:10 pm - Rocky Horror Interactive Game

ievil_spock_47i
I got the Rocky Horror Interactive Game.

It sucks! As a computer game it sucks. As a Rocky Horror tie-in it sucks.

However, the videos of CL alone are worth what I paid.

The Time Warp

Even when camping it up, CL turns in a good performance

Ultra-camped-up, CL still classy!

My wife and I love these videos!

3:02 pm - Got eye's !?

d90girl
Just got a heads up from Tom, the custom glass eyes have arrived, they
came in a set of two, a lighter and a darker color.
Of course I picked the darker ones (no brainer).
By the way, if anyone else is interested in having something like this
done, don't hesitate to contact Tom @

For a project of your own...just a note though >>this does not come cheap<<
but is well worth it !!!
You know what they say.. you live only ones, correct !!??
So...Go fo it ;)

Cheers
Christine

I am very happy for being in this community. I love Christopher Lee and everything that he does. The his characters, the music, everything, everything, everything...
Since my 10 years I have a reserved room in my heart for this actor of my total preference.
The favorite films are:
The Whip and the Body
The Persecution of Baskervilles (The Dog of Baskervilles)
Rasputin
The Man of the Golden Gun
The Escape of the Witch's Mountain
Safari 3000
The Two faces of Dr. Jeckyll
The Wicker Man..... among all!

I hope to discover new things on our idol.

I have been a giant fan of Mr.Lee ever since I learned to walk...lol
I realy enjoyed him in all of the Dracula flicks.....sooo sexy!
Hell, I love the Dracula image so much, that I am currently having a
special FX artist make me a lifesize replica of Christopher Lee ( resin, silicone and wax ) sculpt.
Yes, this puppy will be 6'5 and be standing in my bedroom..YEAH, BABY !!
We have been working together for weeks trying to get the pose and expression just right .
I also had a Designer make the  heavy wool cloak and 4 button vested suit he wore in Horror of Dracula...oh
lets not forget the black leather ankle boots  he wore as well, yep...got them too ;)
This is a very expensive and time consuming process but will be worth while in the end .
I cant wait to get  him home and my hands on him..drool !!

I know this is tottaly nuts, but  having a lifesize replica of Christopher lee
was a lifelong dream of mine, so here he comes....

This may take a few more weeks before the sculpt is finished, but I will
post pictures when I get him home and properly dressed :)

Cheers
Christine

4:29 pm - Hello,I`m new an of CL!

nevenka_menliff
Hi.I am a big-big fan of Christopher Lee..
I know that I am not the 1st member of this community...but I want to say He is the best man in the world...He is clever,handsome..He played in more than 230 films...
When I understood that I love him?
-It was not watching movie or something...It was unbelieveble!ecause I found his photos from Dracula ....It was very coool!!! I found perfect man!!!! After few weeks....only...I thought that I must watch these excellent films!
My mother said that he is nice...I agreed...It was Dracula 1958...My 1st meeting with mr.Lee...I found him very interesting person...He has very charming smile..with his teeth..arrr..It`s very original!
Then I found in my coolection many films about Bond...And of course there was Man with the golden gun...I remembered when I was 12 I watched it and I loved Scaramanga..One of the best enemies of James Bond..He is also very elegant evil-doer..His plane-car is amazing....Also Bond is cool...But in this movie,I think,Bond`s enemy is BETTER!!!!
Also I think one of the best Lee`s films is The Whip and the body..Absolut-lee Great!!!!
Lee plays a nobleman with sadistic propensity...He says:`You always loved a violence,you haven`t changed`
He can play any character he wants...But also Wicker man is brilliant movie...Lee again sings in it and wears a kilt...oh! it`s very nice to him...
I am returning to Count Dracula...I think the best is Scars of Dracula..or Dracula AD 1972..Lee is about 50 yaers old in them...It`s height of his elegancy..But now he is also very-very nice..He was the very best all the times...
And also he is immortal...I believe!!!
Ok,I wrote all things .
My favourite(I highly recommend)
1)Dracula 1958
2)Whip and the body
3)Wicker man
4)Scars of Dracula
5)The three musketeers(and the four also)
6)Man with the golden gun
7)Horror express
8)Dracula AD 1972
9)Rasputin-mad monk
10)Hound of Baskervilles(his Henry is sweeeeet,he
always kisses)
nice to join...which movies I also must see?(I am a bit crazy ,,I`m in love..help me,please!)?

current mood: ecstatic

10:57 am - Hi - I'm a noob!

ievil_spock_47i
When you first join, why not post a quick introductory message to the community, to let us know who you are, why you like Christopher Lee, and what your favourite CL films are?

Hi, I'vestopped by several times and now decided to join.  I've like sci-fi (username .. duh) all of my life (45 years) and recently have been getting more in to Fantasy and Horror.

Why do I like CL?
I admire people with an encyclopedic knowledge of the Lord of the Rings (CL, Stephan Colbert, my wife).  I've recently started reading Lord of Misrule and love it.

CL films?  Nicolas Cage's The Wicker Man came out last year and reading a review of it I discovered that it was a remake.  I got the original british version and my wife and I loved it!!!  Eventho CL does a great job playing vampires with no lines there was something about how he played Lord Summerisle.  Plus, that was an odd and wonderful movie.
