What's Chris Doing Next Season?

"Betty" regular Christopher Gorham has been tapped to star on CBS' midseason drama "Harper's Island."

The CBS Par-produced "Island" is a serialized horror story about a group of friends who meet on an island off the Seattle coast for a destination wedding.

Gorham will play the groom-to-be, whose name, ironically, is Henry, which was also the name of his character on "Betty."

On ABC's "Betty," the rivalry between Henry (Gorham) and Gio (recurring Freddy Rodriguez) for Betty's (America Ferrera) heart culminated in the second season finale where the final scene showed Betty seemingly making her choice, but the lucky guy was not revealed.

Gorham won't return to "Betty," and Rodriguez, who has a few features lined up, is not expected to come back for more than one episode, which means new love life for Betty.

She is not expected to stay on the sidelines for long -- hunk Val Emmich was just cast as recurring character Jesse, a new love interest for Betty.

Gorham first appeared on "Betty" as a guest star in the fall of 2006. He was quickly recruited as a recurring and later upped to regular.

He is repped by CAA and Rigberg Entertainment.

Save the Hot Accountant, save Ugly Betty!

TV Guide recently reported that Christopher Gorham has made a statement that he will not be moving to NYC with the show Ugly Betty when they start shooting. From both what the magazine said and the quote from Christopher Gorham, it's not clear if this means he will just not be appearing in the first few episodes, whether he will be commuting from his family later like Vanessa Williams did from New York, or whether (what many people are assuming) he will no longer be a cast regular. To add another complication to this unclear situation, a blind item that Michael Ausiello reported before leaving TV Guide about one cast member trying to get a pay raise because of the move could possibly refer to Christopher Gorham (and who can blame him, he has a family and NYC is expensive).

If you are a fan of Henry being on the show--even those of you who aren't a fan of the Betty and Henry relationship as I am, but think Henry adds something special to the show--another genuinely nice person in the world of Ugly Betty--I really hope you let ABC know how you would feel about it if Gorham was no longer a regular. We still haven't got to find out the story about his missing dad, had him interact with many of the other great cast members more, et cetera.

Just saw this posted on the New York Observer website, in the Style section.

The always-plucky Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas steps in where those bound for the beach fear to tread, enlisting Christopher Gorham, a star of the Lindsay Lohan pre-lesbian vehicle Ugly Betty, to host a dinner at Lincoln Center, attended by indie hero Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and sole remaining unmarried presidential daughter Barbara Bush. (Here’s hoping she’s a Democrat, or at least gay!)

Does anybody else know anything else about this dinner? Have pics surfaced?

This community has been pretty dead lately (I still blame the writers strike), but I did want to give everybody a heads up on some things.

According to IMDB, SPIKE TV will be showing the CSI episode that Chris was in (#3.17 - Crash & Burn) Friday the 18th at 8:00 pm.

Also, SOAPNet will be airing the Family Channel movie he did, Relative Chaos, on Sunday at 10:00 pm eastern time. I'm excited for this because I've only seen it once, and I caught it in the middle or so.

And finally, UII has posted a sneak preview of the next Betty episode (taken from America's visit to Jimmy Kimmel) and Chris is in it! Click here to see it.

Medical Investigation Moments

Hey, happy Sunday all.

Quick question.

So, I saw like 10 or 12 episodes of Medical Investigation, and I enjoyed it very much. It was a great show, but I have to admit, I did watch mostly because of Chris. :P

Yet, I always wanted to see a "Miles" centric ep and it never came. But, I didn't get to watch the whole series, and now that I'm able to, I want to start with a healthy dose of Chris!

Can you guys help me out? Which were the best "Miles" episodes?

Just that things are staying complicated for Betty and Henry. I talked to the quite-rakish-in-real-life Christopher Gorham at the SAG Awards, who told me, "Well, I'm such a fan of Betty that I just want her to be happy. I think she's very happy right now, but they have some tough times coming up, because that baby's comin' out, and it's Henry's baby." So, will he be heading back to Arizona to be a dad? "That's the plan. He didn't really have a dad growing up, and so it's really important for him to go do that." Oh, fine, be responsible and decent like that. Jeez.

Nip/Tuck

Word on the street is that Chris is going to be on an episode of Nip/Tuck in November. Okay, so it's more like according to his IMDB page, but still. I've never seen the show, but it would be a reunion of sorts with Ryan Murphy who created this both Nip/Tuck and Popular. It could also explain his appearance in Rosie O'Donnell's blog (as posted about here).

Also, did anybody else see the promo for next week's Betty? I only caught about half of it before my DVR switched over to The Office, but hot damn. He's looking good.

And one last thing - participation in the community seems to have died. If anybody has any suggestions as to how to fix that and get more people posting/commenting, I'd be happy to hear them.

October 14, 2007 -- Accountants aren't usually the most loveable or, even, likeable characters on TV. Not so for Christopher Gorham's Henry Grubstick, Betty Suarez's (America Ferrera) on-again, off-again love interest on ABC's "Ugly Betty."

No stranger to TV - the 33-year old actor starred in "Jake 2.0" and "Popular" - Gorham says that Henry was originally supposed to be a bit of a grouch, but it didn't take long before the character evolved into the upstanding and charming nerd that we (and Betty) love.

Now, Gorham give us some dirt about Henry and about his encounter with real life accountants.

Q: You've been added to the cast as a series regular this year, what does that mean for you and Henry?

A: It means I get paid for every episode, even if I'm not in it. And the schedule is amazing because there's 13 series regulars on the show, so generally, I'm only working three days a week - it's like the best job ever. I have a really great part this year - the relationship between Betty and Henry is so good, interesting, funny and hot, it's not like last year at all.

Q: On TV, you work for Meade Publications which runs the fashion magazine, Mode. Who dresses you in real life?

A: I dress myself, but, my wife ["Popular" co-star Anel Lopez] is one of the most stylish people I've ever met, so if I'm having a hard time figuring out what to wear, I'll go to her and she'll reluctantly help me.

Q: You play an accountant, but have you ever been audited?

A: I have been audited and it was totally my fault. There's nothing scarier than getting that letter. It was one of those "Oh, I missed that?" situations. I moved a couple times, so I didn't get one of my 1040 [tax forms] and I forgot to report it. It was the 1040 for series two of "Popular," so it was a huge thing, I got slammed, it was not pretty. But we fixed it and it's all good.

Q: Do your kids ever watch you on TV?

A: My six-year old, Lucas, hates watching me on TV, for some reason it freaks him out. Ethan [three-years old] snuggled up to me and said, "I like watching you daddy." It was like, "Sure, you kiss up!"

Q: How have you and your wife avoided the tabloid glare?

A: Thankfully, they don't seem to care. I think it's just because we have kids and we're not out very much. When we do go out, we're such old people. We like to go to dinner at the Hotel Bel Air. No one under 60 goes to dinner there, so we're always the youngest people there.

Q: Are you ready for "Ugly Betty's" Valentine's Day musical episode?

A: I sang a ton in high school, I was in all the singing groups, so it's going to be fine. This is the perfect cast to do it with - I think everyone sings except for Eric Mabius [Mode editor Daniel Meade]. At least right now, there's going to be a huge dance number at the end too.

Sci Fi Channel to begin airring Odyssey 5 on 10/12/07

I saw that the Sc Fi channel will begin airring Odyssey 5 once a week beginning tomorrow night. It's on at 7:00 CST/8:00EST.

Sci Fi is still featuring Jake 2.0 in their daytime rotation. A not to be missed episode of that is the one with Lee Majors as a retired NSA agent. I was laughing at just about every scene he & Christopher had together.
