I am proud to announce that today is the official re-opening of chosen_art. After a lot of work and loads of help and input from friends this place is now back in business in a completely new light and direction, and open to membership application. I hope to see this place grow and be around for many years to come, supplying the fans with great material for their own artwork.

This community is a livejournal extension of my graphic site, Chosen Art. The original site contains everything from wallpapers to icons, fonts to stock pictures and much more. It also contains heavily tagged manipulations. I have been doing those for a long time but it has only been since February that my focus has been shifted almost completely into that direction of fanart.

My work has been very well received and praised by others. Over the months I have on several occasions received requests for icons and wallpapers, headers and anything else you can imagine, containing my manipulations. As I don't have the time to fill all of these requests I have decided to take things a step further and open up the option for other fanartists to use my manipulations for their own works. This is where this community comes into play.

At this place I will offer up almost all of my manipulations in HQ and without the heavy tags that I use when posting on the site or at my personal journal. They will be clean manipulations, without any effects beyond what is necessary to make them as real as possible (such as shadows, skin tones, color of clothes, etc) and they are all ready to be used by the members of this community.

If this is a successfull community and nobody breaks the rules, I will consider putting down money and making this a steady home for my manipulations, making sure it doesn't disappear.. unless LJ shuts down ;)
