The tenth lies. |

1) This is going to just about all of my communities, except a very small number of them. I've invited people that make icons to any number of my communities but haven't always gotten as many icon posts as I'd like; often cuz other members discouraged such posts. So, from now on, those of you that make icons are encouraged to join and post your work at Iconnage·Art...
...which isn't to say you can't keep posting what you do here, but I'd like you to post it there as well. Especially as it's specifically just an icon community I'd love for you to post there more than you do here and as often as possible.
This doesn't count icon posts or icon dumps of stuff you didn't make yourself, as some of my communities allow for.
2) Changing one of my standard rules: If you want to advertise any kind of community please do so at We·Need·a·Life and not here. I used to allow advertising in any of my communities if it kept to the theme of that community but I'd like to cut down on that a bit...until it dwindles to nothing. |

Nestle recalls Toll House cookie dough products AP - Friday, June 19, 2009 1:21:53 PM By LAUREN SHEPHERD Federal authorities are investigating a new outbreak of bacteria-triggered illness related to a sweet treat treasured by the heartbroken and children-at-heart -- packaged raw cookie dough.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday that, since March, 66 people in 28 states have fallen ill with symptoms caused by e. coli bacteria after eating Nestle Toll House dough raw.
About 25 people have been hospitalized but no one has died. E. coli is a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea, dehydration and, in the most severe cases, kidney failure.

This cake was actually made for a virtual "potluck" a different community was holding in honour of its fifth birthday but it is FULL of chocolate, so I thought you might appreciate it too.

I can send the recipe to anyone who wants. It calls for dark chocolate, cream, eggs, sugar (but only a little), rum, butter and cocoa. I decorated it with Cadbury's flake bars and little silver balls. It is actually dead easy to make.
There is no flour, which, of course means it has no calories (doesn't it?)! |

...it's a wee little thing I do over at Weirdfolks. I just thought I'd skim through the most recent 5 of them and see what would be appropriate here.
The problem with these is where I get them doesn't tell me who actually made them. So, unless you know, or find out, and feel a compulsive need to credit whatever you choose to use, do so like this:
weirdfolks' icon dump
It'll do till you discover the truth.

Hello! I just joined (saw your advertisement in community promo).
I am a long-time chocoholic, so you seemed like the right place to be (am eating a Gu brownie as I type).
For any of you UK based people, did you know there is an on-line chocolate tasting club? They now sell a variety of different types of chocolate just as any chocolate company would do but they started out years ago as a specialty chocolate marketer that just sold 'tasting boxes' that came out once a month and were posted to you (for a price, of course!) with a different selection every month (never repeated). And a score card to send in (or you can score on-line). Sorry, I know I am sounding a bit like an advertisement but their chocolate really is excellent. I have been a tasting club member for years. If you are interested have a look:

(Copy/paste the address into your browser changing the 'xx' to 'tt' when you do so; I did the 'xx' to protect you from spamming). |
