Summary: Chloe helps Jack relax

They had taken Jack immediately into custody, placing him in interrogation room 2. Chloe waited as everyone until Heller had left. She knew that Jack had not wanted to see Audrey and she was sure that was why Heller had wanted to see him.

Once everyone was gone, she quietly slipped into the monitoring booth, shutting off the cameras and recorders. Next she went into the computer and changed the codes to the lock so that she was the only one who would be able to enter the control booth and the interrogation room.

Looking up, she glanced at Jack. He was sitting still as a rock with a lost look on his face. Her heart ached for him. He had been through so much and helped so many people, yet this was the way the government paid him back. "It's just not right." Chloe thought with a frown. He deserved better from everyone. Bill was talking to the President, trying to get the charges against Jack dropped. Nadia had promised Chloe that she would call her on the cell as soon as she got any news. In the meantime, Bill had told Chloe that Jack was free to go as soon as Heller left.

When she was finished, she slipped quietly out of the control booth and into interrogation room, closing the door quietly behind her with a sound click.

Upon hearing the click, Jack glanced up and noticed that Chloe had walked into the room.
"Hi Jack." She said with smile.

"Chloe." He replied in that soft voice that made her knees weak. "It's good to see you. But what? Your hair's brown. I like it."

Chloe blushed at the compliment. "Thanks Jack." She answered as she walked over to the table and sat down in front of him.

"How are you doing, Jack?" Chloe asked with concern.

"I'm not sure Chloe." He replied. "I don't know if thanked you for rescuing me or not. But thank you, from the bottom of my heart."

"You already thanked me Jack." Chloe replied softly. "But you don't really have to thank me, you know. You knew I would find you. I am sorry it took me so long."

"What did Heller want? Was he angry that you've not requested to see Audrey? You do know that she has called her and when that didn't work, she showed up. Bill had her escorted out of the building. He told her that unless you wanted to see her that she would not be allowed in CTU while you are here." Chloe said.

Nodding his head Jack replied "No I don't want to see her, but yes that is why Heller was here. It just doesn't feel right, you know? I … Some things changed in me while I was in China. Things that I know Audrey could never deal with, unlike you, Chloe."

Chloe nodded her head and gave Jack a brilliant smile. "I understand, Jack. No one blames you for the way you are feeling, okay? So I take it that you and Audrey are not getting back together?"
"No, although I will have to tell her face-to-face about my decision, she deserves that much from me."
"Yes! He's single again, time to make a move." Chloe thought as she looked at Jack sitting across from her.

"What are you doing?" Jack asked Chloe as she reached over and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt.

"Trying to make you relax, you're so tense and I just want to help you relax."

"Hmm…and how are you going to be helping me relax today Ms. O'Brien?" Jack said smirking at their banter.

"By making you feel naughty of course Agent Bauer." Chloe said smirking as she started to loosen more of the buttons on his shirt.

"You are a tease Chloe, a major tease." Jack said as he put his hands on Chloe's hips and made her sit on his lap.

Chuckling, Jack said, "Okay, then I would love to come home with you."

Chloe gave him a full blown smile that brilliantly lit up the room.

"Do you think everyone will know what happened?" Jack asked as they prepared to leave the room.

"If we keep smiling like this they will." Chloe said smiling and showing a glow on her that would be obvious to anyone who walks by.

Stepping up closely behind Chloe, Jack whispered in her ear. "I think I'm going to have to punish you for being greedy and not waiting until I was out of CTU."

Chloe shivered as his words and breathe wrapped around her body. Turning to look at him, she smirked and replied "Oh really? Then I think we should use the siren on your car, don't you?"

Laughing, Jack growled "That's my naughty girl. Let's go."
