HIMYM and GGrl picspams are postponed due to... massive laziness. In the mean time, other TV!
( True Blood: Strange Love - Sparks Fly Out )
( FNL: I Knew You When )
--
I swear this was meant to be a short and sweet picspam of pretty people, but what I failed to realize was that it's ALL pretty people, all the time. It kind of got out of control.

| GG thoughts |
[07 Oct 2008|12:30am] |
I have much thoughts on the new eps of GG. At some point, I will even write them down.
In the meantime, a little rant: The problem with GG I have is this: I love to write fanfic, mainly the Chuck/Eric kind, but the damn show just moves too damn fast. Like, to write a longer, say 15.000 word story, the facts change too quickly, the character development jumpes back and forth so fast I don't know which one to use. It's like in a matter of a few days a character becomes childish, mature, irresponsible and suddenly completely reliable again and I'm like... wait. Wait, which one do I write now?
It's one of the very few things I dislike about GG. It's too fast-paced. I get that otherwise, it'd probably not be as entertaining, and of course, you have to sacrifice one to gain one. But really, giving characters time to develop one steady personality before completely fucking them over and making them change it is not too much to ask, is it? Or maybe I'm the only one who perceives it that way.
In any case, most stable character is still Eric, sigh. I fear what they'll do with him later this season when he'll get a bit more screentime. I don't want them to completely fuck him up, because I love my boy to be the only person on this show who's mature, dependable and acting like a responsible human being consistently. Except for that little plot device 'slip-up' in the beginning where they made him, you know, emotionally fragile and suicidal to give Serena a reason to come back to NY. Because by now, there is just really nothing else that explains that action in contrast to how he's now, aside from maybe a few thoughts I have on how he developed depression because of Serena. In which case, the fact that she vanished was only the trigger and her coming back should make him relapse. Or, entirely possible, he's the only character on the show who grows in an upwards function of age and experience and !gasp! doesn't repeat his mistakes over and over and over.
Oh, show. I wish I could believe in you not to fuck him up, but I don't quite trust those writers yet. Not after Chuck-the-sexually-impaired-by-love and Dan-the-writer-who-thinks-fiction-is-real-life.

Depression hit really hard last night after I turned off the computer.
I stayed up wayyy to late and then couldn't fall asleep.
I didn't wnat to go to work or class but went to work, only 4 hour shift Mondays so not the end of the world.
Realized last night in bed that I hadn't done the work for my Music class today but got half of it done just now and am going to class anyways. It's an hour and a half and I can function even though I'm sitting here wondering why I even bothering trying to live my life.
It's just one of those days. You know?
Here's the thing... Fall is the WORST time of year for me. I love the season itself, but depression wise it hits me really really bad in late September/all of October.
Generally around the second full month of school and Yom Kippur. Worst time of year for me depression wise. I know this. I need to work through it.
I'm just so fucking stressed all the time.
My life is like... to use a gross metaphor...
I feel like I'm a house being eaten my termites and it all looks good on the outside but could fall apart any minute bc there are so many cracks and inside has been eaten away.
But go me for trudging through it.

Cute, but no.
Dear Gov. Palin,
While it was a charming and good-humored attempt at self-deprication, Tina Fey does not need you for job security. In case you didn't know, Tina Fey writes, produces and stars in her own sitcom. A little show called "30 Rock" that just won an Emmy, while she won two. Also, while Fey was the first female head writer for SNL, and the first female anchor on Weekend Update since the early 80's, she is no longer a cast member on the show. Yeah. She left a few years ago. That's right. It's not her job to do impressions of you; she's doing it as a favor and for fun. Finally, while this season's writing staff hasn't done anything impressive yet, they do not rely upon you for job security. SNL has been on the air for 34 years. That's one year less than Biden has been a US Senator. That's 32 years more than you've been a governor. Sure, your mountain of recent gaffes has made drawing ratings easier, but the show probably isn't in danger of going anywhere anytime soon. Though it has made the writers' jobs easier--I mean, they aren't even writing jokes anymore; just transcribing the things you've already said.
Sincerely, Moi.
In all seriousness, I do think Palin's probably got a good sense of humor. But still, no...

honestly, between my spooky buffet, the Bob's butcher shop area, the bleeding corpse under the sheet on my lawn chair, and my fancy homemade zombie woman, this is going to be the best halloween ever!...decoration-wise at least.
i've got so much stuff up, it's like halloween threw up, died, reanimated, and then threw up again in my living room. :D joy!

I'm using delicious and I'm trying to figure out the best way to tag links.
Example: do you think it's better to tag something with two separate tags like "lois" and "lane" or to fudge the system and use one tag, like "lois.lane"?
I guess the reason I ask is that I'd like to keep whatever I tag accessible to me (which makes lois.lane) easier but also accessible to other using delicious and to search engines. Which means using two separate tags is better, right?
I'm overthinking, aren't I?
