childfree30plus a community for those of us past the age of 30 who are committed to the childfree lifestyle.
Most of our members have experienced other childfree communities at LiveJournal and at other locations on the web. We come together here to support one another, to vent and to escape the seemingly growing group of young 'wannabes' who profess their CF'dom in what looks like an attempt to show maturity. Many of us DID know we were CF at a young age, but we didn't have the Internet as a place to shout our convictions or to test the waters.
We respect the other communities, we're part of them as well. We simply need a place where we can confer with people at similar places in life.
Fence sitters need not apply.
This is a moderated community. Members are welcome to sponsor others under 30, but please make sure and contact us via email (childfree30plus@gmail.com) to share about the folks you'd like to invite so that their membership request are approved without question.
We welcome you tochildfree30plus. We only have three requests of members here:
1. That we respect one another. If you choose not to agree with someone that's fine, but please keep a civil tongue in your head.
2. That discussions that are off topic be taken from the community to your personal journals or email.
3. That unless you specifically ask the poster, please DO NOT repost from or link tochildfree30plus in any way shape or form. I do not want to see this community become the target of a flame war or any other abuse. Members here should feel free to share their thoughts and experiences without fear of recrimination.
As the owner/maintainer of this community I reserve the right to invite whomever I choose. I do have CF friends under 30 who have their heads on straight and will not fill this community up with some of the very types of posts many of us seek to escape. While not all here use such terms regularly they and and will come out- especially in emotion filled rants and ventings. Members are not censored.

Please note, we will check the user info of anyone requesting membership in an attempt to verify your age. Those choosing not to list their date of birth or birth year in their user info, are invited to email a moderator or send to childfree30plus@gmail.com letting us know. Membership applications in which we cannot verify that applicants are over 30 will be declined without explanation.
We will reject membership for the following reasons:
- No/inadequate birthdate info available to verify that you are over 30.
- No sponsorship if you are under 30.
- Journal is less than 2 months old.
- Journal has friends/communities/interests that are directly contradictory to this community.
- Journal and/or content appears to exist solely to harass other users.
