Current music:Get The Party Started- Pink

Hello.
As most of you know, my daughter, Lady Lanet, got the hell beaten out of her by a 'breeder' (As she oh so affentionatly calls them) and posted it here. After reading the replies, I would like to say thankyou to all of you. Never have I met such a group of intelligent, caring people.

I am a fifty-year-old woman who grew up in the city with an alcoholic single mother. When I got married to my rock-star hubby, I vowed that my child would be raised in a good home. As you can all tell, she is quite the little lady! I am very proud of her.

The back problem is making her cry, so I gave into temptation. Her father just took her to see Howls Moving Castle (She's a huge anime fan) and I'm going to buy her an Xbox and KOTOR. She usually buys all that stuff with her own money, and since she is going through such a hard time, I thought it was proper.

It brings a tear to my eye when I see how compassionate you all are. My daughter has cried to me how thankful she is for you. As you know, we're in a little redneck town, and someone like her has few friends like herself. But she is a very good girl, and rarely complains. She helps with chores, and used to help me lift things for my nursery.

Thank you again.

Lady Lanet is smart and funny, she lights up my life. When she was born, she never cried, she said her 'pleases' and 'thankyous'. She never made loud noises at the movie theater, never drew on the walls. She got Scarlet Fever when she was four, and in second grade, she got very sick with a minor case of ecoli, but that has been about it. I swear to the goddess that she is like the perfect cat!

She's also getting a lap-top for her birthday! She's been such a good girl, and has never asked for more than piano lessons and sax lessons. She has never lied to us, and always does what she is told.

I can rattle on about my dear girl forever, but now I must say thankyou again. If I could give you all a billion dollars and a fat-free brownie that doesn't dissapoint in the flavor department, I WOULD!!!

Much love!

Mother Earth (A.K.A Lady Lanet's mother)

Agree. After I had her, I should of gotten snipped. THAT was enough. But the snipping wouldn't of mattered, as I had her when I was very old. I'm already almost all the way through menopause (I'm not really fifty, I'm like fifty-five, but I stopped counting)

Heh. When I went looking for her in Wal-mart, this man came up to me. A worker (And a cutie, at that!) and said, "Hey, you look like this girl that just got beat up."

I went 0.O "WHAT?!?!?!?!" And then called managment. They told me to go to the hospital. The crew at the hospital had identified Lanet by her student I.D in her wallet.

She was heavyily sedated when I saw her. She was in so much pain that they had to. In the ambulance she was crying till she was hypervenalating and asking for her mom.

Nice to hear from you. : )

What we whine about here isn't the children as much as bad parents. Because stupid children grow up to be stupid adults. It's a perpetuating cycle. But clearly, you're teaching your daughter very well, and it shows a lot. When I found it she was 13, I thought "No. She couldn't be. She writes so coherently, correctly, intelligently. Wow, what a kid." And now I see where she gets it from.

We're all pullin' for her!

I homeschooled her in fith grade and that's when she began her writing. Beautiful, isn't it? She wants to go to Oxford when she grows up.

We stand by our own in this community. Lots of "get-well" wishes for Lanet, and kudos to you for raising such an intelligent and well-mannered young lady. Like [info]mistress_nomad said, the parents make all the difference, and Lanet obviously came out a winner. ^_-

Mother Earth,

I'm sorry to hear the hell your daughter is going through, and what she'll have to face. It brought a genuine tear to my eye, and I can't believe the odasity (sp) of that breeder bitch, as to what she did to Lanet.

My heart goes out to her, and thank you for bringing up a very special, respectable and kind young lady.

I certainly hope that this woman pays for what she did. No one, and I mean no one, needs to experience what your daughter did. No one and I mean no one, needs to act the way this breederbut did.

You sound like a great, great mom. In fact, let me give you the best compliment possible: You remind me of my own mother.

I'd love to be able to send Lanet a get-well card or a small gift, is there an address you guys are willing to make public? If not, I understand, and I'll send her a terribly tacky animated get-well email-card instead. ;)

Best wishes to your daughter.

Coming from another with now-chronic back pain(though I'm 25), it's understandable what she deals with(though I doubt my pain's AS bad).

Like others have said, we support each other. There are several of us who don't and never did have many friends, but more because we didn't like the people that were in our surroundings than the fact that we just couldn't. I myself (and others can probably say the same here) was never the "oh I want to be popular" person....I saw them for what they truly are (at least where I went to school, they were superficial assholes that stabbed each other in the back). I had my small group of true friends and was fine with that.

I've also added her to my friend list so I can keep up with what's going on. Tell her to feel free to add me back, and I'm here if she needs anyone to talk to. You've raised a wonderful young lady, and I hope that the woman that did this to her gets the book thrown at her(several times).

It's great to hear from the mom of such a smart and cool girl.

I've been following this story, and from the very start I have been impressed by [info]lady_lanet's maturity and level-headedness. My heart goes out to her for having to deal with such a debilitating injury at such a young age.

I hope that the absolutely TONS of money you get from suing the horrible cow that did this to her you can get her the very best treatment possible!

I feel bad for her! The poor girl, nobody should have to be assaulted like that! They say karma has a way of paying back both kind and mean people, and I hope that's true.
:)
She is lucky to have such wonderful parents!

Thanks for posting. It's good to hear from you. You seem like a very supportive mother, which is just what your poor daughter needs right now. :)

I'm really wishing all the best for her. What happened is simply reprehensible, and I hope you sue the pants of that evil woman.

You should be commended on how calm you're taking this; I would be so tempted to give that woman a taste of her own medicine.

God (or goddess, or buddha!) bless.

You got yourself a great daughter. Please tell her that we, the childfree members of this LJ community send her many hugs and get well wishes. Even my own mother who is in her sixties is outraged by what that Moo bitch did to her and she wants this person's head on a silver platter. Yes, my mother called the woman who hurt your wise beyond her years daughter a Moo bitch.

What is her favorite music? I am sure like my fellow childfree friends on this list would love to send her a get well gift since she deserves to be spoiled a bit by her friends even though we cannot be there for her in person, we are there in spirit.

I'm with the others in that you are a pretty classy mom. You remind me of my mom who kept an eye on me and my sis and raised us up to be polite and actually have manners. :) Now if only more people were like you and her...

I'm so sorry that this happened to your daughter, and like the others I can't believe that she's just 13. That's a terrible thing to have happen when you're 13, especially as it has consequences for her life.

I hope the two of you are successful in taking this woman out for all she has and putting her in jail. (yay for video tapes!!) I hope that you two are able to make her suffer for the suffering that she has put your sweet daughter through. Goddamn, what is wrong with some people? How is it right to abuse other other people's children??

Take care and much love to you and your daughter.
