I was just reading that new parents vs childfree board and came across something that made my blood boil in a discussion about pets and children.

From the delightful Austins_Mommy (horrible grammar and spelling as posted):

My animals have learned that they HAVE to take what Austin dishes out.. or they get the crap kicked out of them if they growl at him! Yes we do teach him to be nice and easy with them.. but sometimes, he does get aliitle rough..

So not only is she a creationist dumbfuck (quelle surprise, eh?), but she is also teaching her kid he can abuse animals at will and punishes the poor animals for defending themselves.

I hate her to the roots of her vile, trashy blonde hair. I wish fatal road accidents, lingering diseases and facial disfigurement on her and her brood of inbred spawn. I hope her next pregnancy is a giant tumour with eyes. I hope a pack of dingoes eat all her precious trailer-trash babies. Gah!

Now, will someone PLEASE disinfect the genepool? It's getting really murky down the shallow end.

PS. Those of you that are maintaining your composure and arguing with that awful woman in that thread, you have my upmost admiration.

I'd love to see her and her hellspawn try that at a friend of mine's place. Neither of them would last long trying to bug his canines since he raises wolves.

If I had a dog and lived near her, then she'd best just keep her kid and herself away from my property. If she kills or has my dog killed for biting her kid when he's being a pain in the ass, she'd better not coming pounding on my front door after dark. I might just be tempted to mistake her for someone trying to break in and euthanize her and her twat rocket with a 12 guage.

Yup, I also know people who raise wolves. I enjoy every moment I spend with these great canines, and I plan to get wolfdog hybrids of my own eventually. I consider the wolves to be my family, and I would be willing to defend them if it ever became a necessity.

Ah, this really really bothers me. I heard nearly verbatim out of the mouth of a friend of a friend. Apparently he beat the crap out of his two cats because one of them scratched his 2 yr old after the damn kid started molesting the poor things.

Results? He has two cats who started out perfectly loving and cuddly and now won't go anywhere near him. Makes me sick. I wish I could save the poor things, but I don't have room for any more fuzzballs.

Where on earth do people get the idea that it's ok to abuse an animal because it won't tolerate pain? *grrrrrrr*

Oddly enough my parents happily let the cats scratch me because the knew that I usually deserved it.

I understand wanting to protect your offspring but damnit a cat scratch or a growl isn't fatal.

Honestly if you have little kids you shouldn't have pets, and if you do have pets recognize that they are living beings who deserve kindness and respect, and that your precious little bundle of joy can be a brat.

Precisely. My soon-to-be babied friends are sure to be true PNBs, they've already stated they won't get a dog or cat untilt he child is old enough to teach it to be gentle and respectful of the animal.

The guy who abused his cats just sort of shrugged and looked sheepish when I pointed out to him (as politely as I possibly could) that he hadn't taught his cats a damn thing, except to fear him. I also recently learned that he's been keeping them kennelled for so long that they (CATS, mind you) messed in the cage and ended up lying in it. I *really* want to hurt the guy.

There are 2 kenneled cats in my house right now, but they're only kenneled as a medical quarrantine (in a dog-size kennel, mind you)...until they get better from their infections, we have to keep them away from our healthy kitty. But they have their own litter box, and they're given affection and clean food and water periodically. We hope for the day that we can let them out again...

My mother hates our cat with a passion, but she'd never do anything to hurt her, even if she scratched the kids (who would deserve it anyway- they play rough). People like that guy make me sick.

Is there any way you can call anonymously the SPCA or some animal cruelty group to have these animals removed from the home? Reading this almost made me lose my breakfast. People like this deserve to be locked up in a small cage and left to die in there own shit just like he is doing to these animals. I fear for our future when more and more wastes of space like this dick, appear to be the norm rather than the exception.

I'm not entirely sure I could, actually. The dude lives on one of the army posts, and short of calling the MP's (which happens to be what this dickhead does for a living) not sure there's really a damn thing I could do about it.

It probably would have been a better idea to put this on your personal journal. Now they are using this stuff as proof that ALL CF people as a whole endorse this and are evil childhaters what will lock their children in boxes away from the sun and air. b00 n stuff.

Dammit, not that many of us are childhaters. Sure I am, but not all.

Frankly, I couldn't care less what that particular bunch of halfwits think. They use highly inflammatory language themselves without provocation. They already think we're a bunch of child haters simply on the basis that we don't want kids or don't want to put up with badly behaved kids, and nothing that anyone says or does will convince them otherwise. That board is proof - have you seen anything that makes you think they've changed their minds one iota despite all the carefully constructed, intelligent posts by childfree members there? So basically I feel no compunction about antagonising them.

Additionally, this community is a vent space, and I intend to use it as such. It was more appropriate in my opinion to put this vent in here and not on my personal journal because most of my friends list are not particularly intersted in my more virulent childfree rants and the situation was one that pertained directly to the subject matter this community is interested in and also relates directly to previous posts on this community.

Maybe it would have been better to friends lock it, but that slipped my mind at the time.
