Post your own work... 1.First and foremost, upon joining, you MUST post at least two poems for critiquing. 2. ALL LONG POETRY POSTS must be under LJ-cuts! 3.Posting your poetry here invites criticism - and that criticism should be given freely by all members, to the best of their ability. However, we expect that, if you are serious about the writing of poetry, your best will be detailed and thought-provoking. It should show that in some way or another, you have been educated in how to critique poetry. If you have never critiqued a poem before, it's not too late to learn how. Several websites offer tips. While we understand that some writers here are just beginning to understand poetic form and they need all the help they can get, help does not always come cushioned by fluffy words. We expect intermediate and advanced poets to help to guide beginners, yes. However, this does not always mean pat phrases. While we prefer that you be kind, it is more important that you are honest. 5. For every poem you post, you must critique at least two more. It's a give and take situation here. 6.
