36" tv and coffee maker for sale

I'm selling a couple items if anyone's interested...

$225 or best offer

It's a 36" Sanyo standard definition tube television, it's heavy as hell so you'll need help moving it. It works great though!

I'm getting rid of this for $10, it's huge as well and I have no room for it.

It makes 8 cups of coffee and it has a 2 quart pitcher for making hot water for tea and stuff.

Has anyone seen Shout! ? It's a jukebox musical about women in the 60s and it's touring in Chicago right now. I saw it the other week and really loved it! It was a lot of fun and had great pop music from the 60s. Check it out!

Yoga in Edgewater

If you're in Edgewater/Andersonville/Uptown and have been looking for a yoga studio, Yoga Now has a convenient location at 5852 N. Broadway. (They also have a location in the Gold Coast, 742 N. LaSalle.)

The Edgewater location offers a morning class and two nightly classes Monday-Thursday; a seniors class on Wednesday afternoon; a morning and and early evening (4:45pm) class on Friday; four classes on Saturday (8:15a-5:30p); and two morning/midday classes.

Their Sunday evening class is called "Karma yoga community class", and it is free/donations, with any donations given to an Edgewater-based charity/organization.

Types of yoga classes available: Mysore, Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, yoga basics, yoga for seniors, and they have a kids' class too!

I hope this isn't an innapropriate post for this community. I just don't want anyone else to have this experience.

Unfortunately, this is a readers digest version.

Tickets were purchased for $722.80 from Hasan at Glen Ellyn Travel Service to fly on August 21, 2007 to Manchester England and return to Chicago on September 8, 2007. He was very friendly, and happily issued the tickets.

I ran into a situation where I was unable to travel on those dates, so I called to discuss changing the date of the flight. I called two weeks previous to the flight. I asked what fees I would incur when changing the date, and he told me I would have to pay an extra $250. He told me it would take a while to process through the airline.

A month later I called. I asked what was going on with my flight. He proceeded to talk AT me down the phone. “I told you this would take a while. I am doing you a favor. It will take a while to process this.” I explained to him that the money was a lot for me to have floating out there, and I just wanted to know what the progress was. He also stated that I was talking to him about non-refundable tickets , I would have to go on the same airline, and I would not have to pay $250 to switch. I agreed this was fine, and said I would call back in a month.

In October I called to ask about the situation, and he started shouting at me down the phone. “You are a terrible person. You are not the same girl who bought these tickets from me.” All I had done was inquire the same as before what the status of my ticket change was. I waited for him to finish yelling and started to speak. When I spoke he shouted over me until I shouted back, “NO, I listened to you, and now it’s your turn to listen. I do not let anyone speak to me this way. I have called to find out the status of my ticket, and gotten you shouting down the phone instead. I am a paying customer, and you will treat me like one.” At this point I calmed down and explained that I knew we were changing flights on the same airline, and was wondering if we could change it to the dates I want to travel. He told me he was unable to book a flight at the moment and I need to call him back a few months later.

It is now December 14th. I called him on the 13th to see if we could arrange a day for me to fly. Both of us were very civil on the phone. He said there were no stops in Manchester from Chicago on Pakistan air on the dates I would like to travel, and he would switch the flight to British Midland Air. Before he would book the flight he said,” Are you sure? Because I don’t want any trouble with this flight.” I ignored the fact that he was being condescending, and asked him to book the flight. He said he would return my call later when he was finished with the customer he was currently waiting on. I waited three hours and did not receive a return phone call.

I called him on the evening of the 13th and left a message stating I was expecting to hear from him, and didn’t receive a call. I also stated I would still like to book the tickets.

This afternoon, December 14th, I called again to see if we could book the tickets. He said I left a message. I said “ I know, but I am off work at the minute and want to take care of it while I am home.” To which he replied,” You know what? I can’t sell you this ticket. Just come and get your money!” I told him I would send my father straight over to pick it up. At this point and for the next hour that my father waited, he was not in his office. It takes 20 min to drive to the office, so it took an hour 40 minutes in all. In the afternoon my dad had to make a return trip only to receive a refund of $522.80. This is short $200 from the original payment.

I have not cashed the check.

I don’t believe I should be paying ANY fees as I have not requested a refund. I was ready to book the flight. I have also not received a service.

My roommate and I are looking for a 3rd person to fill the bedroom in the condo we are renting. We are both female ages 21 & 24 and easy going. We’re both kind of messy and night owls so you should be okay with this.

Your portion of the rent will be $550 + 1/3 of the cable and 1/3 of the electricity.

Our roommate is moving out and we need someone to take her place fast! You can move in October 1 and would be staying until May 1 of '08 with the option to renew with us if everything works out.

5 minute walk to train
20 minutes to downtown
Washer and Dryer in unit
Central air and heat
Building is very well kept up, as it is a condo
Big kitchen with granite counters and beautiful cabinets
Back porch for smoking- no smoking in apartment
Hard wood floors
Decent sized room, would fit a full size bed, dresser and very small desk with smallish closet and water heater closet in your room (doesn't make much noise, not disturbing)

5-10 minute walk to Jewel, bars and restaurants in the area

We are both female, 21 and 24 attending art schools in the city. Our apartment is kept slightly messy. We are both night owls. We are not party girls, but we do go out on occassion. You should be a female under 35 who doesn’t mind some mess and doesn’t mind living with people who stay up late and not be a hard partier.

Also, one of the roommates runs a softcore adult website from the home so you must be comfortable with her working from home. This means, pictures and video are shot in the living room on occasion. You should be comfortable with this.
