Bus sign
I was riding the 92 Foster bus this evening and noticed a sign on the front doors that read:

Attention CTA customers with bicycles: for your safety please inform the bus operator that you are taking your bicycle off the bike rack.

Perhaps these sticker signs have been around a while, but I don't remember seeing them. Are they new? Were they added because of that poor woman who was killed taking her bike off the rack?

Just curious. I think it's definitely a good idea to remind people of this.

Yeah, these started showing up a few weeks ago, replacing the "Go Lane" stickers. I tend to think they were added as a result of the bike incident, but can't confirm that.

well, since the go lane doesn't really work anyway, the bike reminder is probably a better thing.

Yeah, it really doesn't. I agree on the bike stickers being a better idea.

I agree it's a good thing but would also like to see them on or near the bike racks themselves. Heck, it would even be a good thing to add to those automated announcements that play on every quarter-hour.
