GTA vs. CTA

Take-Two entertainment is suing the CTA over the fact it pulled GTA IV ads in April.

It looks like CTA pulled the ads due to customer complaints? There's not many specifics I found in these articles.

How sad. :(

The story goes that the weekend when 38 people were shot, the ads were up, supposedly "inciting violence." The ads went up the Friday of that weekend, and I noticed two of them on various bus routes. People (mainstream news/crazies) linked the ads to the shootings, despite the fact that the ads were tasteful and did not include any guns or violent imagery.

What's hilarious is the fact that there's billboards visible from CTA buses/trains for the game.

What's even funnier is that the bus shelters also still have the ad up, since the ads for those are done by a different company. Wanna see one that's still up? The shelter at Central/Harrison has the image of Niko Bellic with the game logo.

The real thing to worry about here is were you true to life and contributed to bus bunching and/or late to the terminal.

He probably drove the stolen bus more efficiently than normal bus drivers...

leave it to you to know what's going on. I noticed that the one that was viewable from the Merchandise Mart platform is now replaced with a slightly confusing McDonald's ad...

A stolen bus would probably be *very* late to the terminal.
