yeah, indeed, it sound's like the lyrics are taken line by line from already existing songs and the music partly from Dead! so I am a litle disapointed, cuz it's looks like Gerard's brain is getting empty. no new thoughts?:(

wow! thats pretty good. sorry i could do no better at disyphering the other questionable bits, but i just wanted to say that i swear the more i hear that song the more rockin awesome i think it is!! :-D i don't know how the hell they have time to do this given their demanding schedual, but i'm grateful. :-) i know they desperately need to rest but i long terribly for new material. lol

That's just what fans are calling it because "stay" is an easy word to make out in the song; it's still listed as "New Song" on setlists apparently.

I think the song is about when Gerard was younger (and heavier) he thought that no one cared, no one loved him like a girlfriend or boyfriend (or a wife) would love him and I think he is saying that YES there is someone out there for everyone.

You just have to have hope! I think the song is about Lyn-z

Great lyrics and I really like the song overall!

The only reason I doubt it's about LynZ is if its the song Gerard mentioned they had written in Japan, as he and LynZ weren't together then.

The lyrics are too simple to be Gerard lyrics... they remind me of shut up and play, in their basicness.

But the fact that you got all these lyrics is SO impressive!! I tried to figure them out, and failed miserably

yeah they are really simple like shut up and play, but then that evolved into disenchanted which is an awesome song. I think the lyrics got much better. so I'm assuming stay will do the same :)

I kind of like the simplicity though.
But agreed that it needs more lyrical meatines.

I can't understand anything else, but it's pretty impresive that you got that.

And personally I love the lyrics and don't think they're that simple.
Not if you don't look at them literaly.

To me this is about someone that is begging a friend not to commit suicide, promising them that there is really someone out there, in the world, that loves them. That there's always someone for everyone.
That's what I make of the lyrics.

I think it's the whole "don't do it" motiff running through both songs. (not to mention they sound vaguely similar, IMO.)
Cemetery Drive is one of my top favorites, fo sho.

This isn't an example of lyrics being genius in their simplicity, it just lacks creativity.
