I keep coming back to doing more Monstrous Regiment fanart. Lately I've been drawing a fair bit after finally buying a UK copy with the beauteous Paul Kidby cover (I got two copies of the cover, actually, I didn't realize I was ordering the play the first time. I fail at reading eBay descriptions.) the new book was needed, my old one is falling to bits.

I realize I've been the worst mod ever recently but, er, if it helps, I haven't read any non-MR fic recently either. I'm a little swamped at the moment but your fics will be read and (with your permission) added to the website.

So yeah - this massive epic known currently as "After The Curtain Fell" has been being written on an off every time I get a Tonker/Tilda plot bunny, but cos their life is so complicated to put back together it's not really that easy to complete. But there's good bits. So these good bits might now turn up from time to time for your edification.

This would be chapter 1, following on from the prologue (Dinner Without strings) which you do need to read before reading this one or it won't make any sense. We pick up the Tonker/Lofty, Tonker/Tilda, Magda/Tilda story in Ankh Morpork a good number of years after the end of MR.

I'm completely serious. It's rather dark even for me, but this story here's more light-hearted. Polly can't sleep, Mal is scandalous, together they discuss politics.

I'm not really this productive. It's just that my editing genie came out of the bottle and danced all over the collection of things I've been putting together for a while. Anyway. Have some Drabbles (one of them is two words over but I poked and poked at it and I couldn't get it any shorter so I gave up).

The first selection are a collection of images from a path two people may walk together. One has been posted before but as it's part of the set I thought it would probably be ok to include it. The second worries me as it fell onto the page almost ready written and I'm afraid I've lifted it from somewhere else subconciously. I've racked my brain but I can't place it. If it's yours I apologise in advance and if you drop me a line in the comments I'll be pleased remove it imediately.

Hey there. I'm on my school's Speech & Debate team. Normally I do LD Debate and Extemp (the "political" branches of Speech & Debate), but I was extremely tempted to cut Monstrous Regiment for a Multiple piece.

So here are the rules for the Massachusetts Forensic League (where I compete):

This event requires the use of a manuscript. A group of 3-8 students will present a scene or scenes from published material (play(s), work(s) of prose, and/or work(s) of poetry. The material may be either serious or humorous in nature. The students may use vocal skills, facial expressions, and/or hand gestures to develop a narrator and character/s; however, the focus of the performers should be off-stage. The students may only touch and make eye contact during their own written introduction. If lines from the selection are used in the introduction, the contestants must adhere to the rules of the event. The presentation should include an introduction that cites the name(s) of the piece(s) and the author(s). The cutting should provide a cohesive scene or storyline (containing a definite beginning, middle and end). The material must be found in printed literature. Props, costumes, and other theatrical devices are prohibited; however, reader’s stands or stools may be used.

Time: 12 minute maximum, including introduction (30 second grace); no minimum.

So, I guess I'd just like suggestions on which scenes to keep (definitely the Polly kneeing Heinrich one) and what to cut. Also, what would be an adequate way to explain the nature of Borogravia as a country, Nuggan, and the Duchess? I've been trying to find the abridged version of the audiobook for some reference, but I can't seem to find it.
