The annual meeting of The Chattanoonga Speculative Fiction Fans Inc. will be
held at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Muesuem Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00
am. Amonng items on the agenda will be the Chattacon budget, and elections to
the Board of Trustees. The postitions held by Andy Hendee and Charlie Williams
are up for election. For those interested in joining the Board of Trustees,
please submit a letter of interest describing your qualifications. Letters of

The next meeting of the Chattacon Committee will be held Saturday, May 9,2009, 3:00 pm at Parkridge East Hospital. Major items on the agenda are the budget for Chattacon 35 (2010) and Guest selection for Chattacon 36 (2011).

Prior to the meeting we will be taking inventory at the storage room. Please meet at East Ridge Self Storage Init #40 at 10:00 am. Hopefully we can get rid of old and damaged goods.

The post-convention meeting of the Chattacon Committee will be held
Saturday,Febraury 28, 2009 2:00 pm at Parkridge East Hospital. This
will be the wrap up meeting for Chattacon 34. All are welcome to
come and share the positive and the negative aspects of Chattacon 34
and any ideas for improvement.

Also on the agenda will be the election of the Executive Committee
for Chattacon 35 (2010). Positions on the Executive Committee are:
Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary, Financial Officer, Marketing and
Publications, Registrar, Operations, Vendor Sales, and Events. Anyone
who has served as Chattacon Committee member may submit an
application (letter) for a position on the Executive Committee.
Members of the Chattacon Committe are the current Executive Committee
and all department heads. Application must be for a specific
executive position. If you are interested in more than one postion
please list them in order of preference. You may hold only one
executive position. Members of the Executive Committe are chosen by a
simple majority vote of all the committee members present (no
proxies, one person, one vote). Letters of application must be
submitted prior to the call to order of the February 28, 2009
meeting. Applicants need not be present to be considered.

Had a great time! For some reason this year was better than last year. Registration was actually much easier for me this time. Wish I could have helped the folks stuck up there for hours :( Con suite food was awesome! Dealer's room was reasonable (as in pricing). Panels/classes were fun. Frolicon/PlayOnCon - Your party rocked!!! All in all it was just awesome! Pictures soon to come.

Thanks be to Chattacon and all of the attendees who came out to our little superhero/villain party on Saturday night! I was out gathering more ice at the time, but apparently we were presented with The Mighty Chalice of Victory and Glittery Tinselstuffs! While the villains of Frolicon will likely seek to claim this success as entirely their doing, we heroes of Play On Con wish to fully recognize that we could never have depleted the bar's reserves so triumphantly without your help! You, too, are heroes!

Seriously--I only had to pack and bring home half a bottle of Blue Curacao. Go team! :-)

Conveniently enough, our next two parties will be at Frolicon and Play On Con. See you there!

Just wanted to say that I had a great time at Chattacon this year. It was an honor to be the (err one of the) Artist Guests of honor and thanks to all for the compliments, comments, questions and conversations that were shared with me.

The con suite was great, the company better.

Hopefully I will continue to run into everyone on the circuit this year!

I am honored every year that I get to attend this great and classic show as a Guest, and this year was no exception.

However, this year shall always hold a much higher place in my heart, for a very special reason.

My One, Carinn (aka miari ) attended with me, and we had an most incredible time together. Having begun our romantic journey together on December 11th, it was on Sunday morning, after a magical two days prior, that I asked, and she accepted.

To all of you who we interacted with, gamed with, partied with, and shared a love of all things Geekery with, thank you for helping to make the experience such a powerful and enjoyable one.

I was delighted to survive my 34th Chattacon. I hope I will see all of you and more next year. My sadness lies in having to leave before the Dead Dog, and the knowledge that I've got 363 days until my next Southron con fix (unless LibertyCon or Connooga or Frolicon or somebody invites me as a GoH, which seems darned unlikely).

In the meantime: see you in a year or so! As long as I am alive, I will come back to you.

Attention Chattacon staff and fan folks, I am going to be missing tonight's festivities due to a terrible ickybad cold that has me waylaid. I am hoping to rest up and heal to the point that I can get down to Chattacon for Saturday, especially to judge the Masquerade!
I apologize for disappointing anyone's panel expectations tonight and I hope to be together and down there in time for my geisha costumes lecture at 2pm on Saturday, but at this point I can't guarantee it.

I'll keep the Chattacon community informed! I am so bummed to be missing even tonight! *pout* *sniffle*
