Answers plz.
I don't have ficcy, but I do have a question:
Does it say anywhere in the show that Jack is a millionaire? Because I've seen it mentioned in hundreds of fanfictions, but I don't know if it's an actual canon fact. I have no trouble believing that he is, given his seemingly endless resources...but does it actually state it in the show, or is it just assumed by everyone?

I...don't think they've actually announced it...But it's more or less an obvious conclusion:

1.) It's a big house. In China. Complete with a waterfall in the backyard.

2.) Jack's parents give him allowance (he does say so on that), which he uses to build tons on robots, cars, and machines (he built his own JET), etc...That has to be SOME allowance, don'tcha think?

3.) His dad is always traveling--and is an archaeologist. They make QUITE a lot of money. His mom seems to always be gone, too. (Don't know where/what/why)

Hope my explanations/reasonings are sufficient; I haven't watch all three seasons completely.

I musta missed the part where we found out Mr. Spicer is an archaeologist. Can you tell me where that was said? I'm curious, now.

Hmm...First episode, I think?

I don't think they actually said the dad IS an archaeologist, but he was at a dig site--or something like that (when he got the puzzle box Wuya was trapped in). Or it could have been on his travels.

*sigh* Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm going to have to actually SEE the episode, now. I just remember something with digging...Forgive me if I'm completely off base. Who knows? This could have been an assumption of mine that I believed so much in...Blah.

I'll take a look.

I thought the robot said Hong Kong.... but I might be wrong. After all how many puzzle boxes can come out of Egypt with spirits with great powers who have been sealed a way for the last thousand years or so...?

As others have said it's never directly stated (much like Jack's nationality, I've heard Irish, American, and dual Chinese-American but I don't think its explicitly said) but there are strong hints that Jack's parents are loaded.

it is assumed by the state of the house he lives in plus the few things he's mentioned of his family that he does indeed come from a wealthy home.
