You guys know what today is, right? Today is February 25, 2009. In an alternate universe shown in the Season 2 episode, (2.02) "Morality Bites", Phoebe was executed on this day for using magic to murder a baseball she wanted to punish. However . . . due to a change in the timeline, Phoebe ended up avoiding this particular fate. Even after she and Paige had arranged for a former classmate to be murdered by demons, five years later.

DAMN! Things just never seemed to go my way.

And in the alternate future shown in "Chris Crossed", the younger Halliwell brother, Chris, had no trouble slamming Wyatt into a wall using his telekinesis.

A PEEK AT SEASON EIGHT

I discovered that the episode, "Hulkus Pocus" was airing on TNT this morning. Because the premise sounded interesting - a demon captured by the Federal government is used as an experiment that leads to a virus that is deadly toward magic users - I thought I would watch it.

What started out as an interesting story ended up as crap. Especially the finale. It was bad enough watching the sisters turn into some demonic version of the Hulk. It was even worse when the episode ended with Phoebe communicating with her future self about having children (another glorious PhoeME moment).

I now see how the show really hit the crapper by Season 8.

I was watching Season Two's "Chick Flick", when Phoebe had this to say about her favorite movie, "Kill It Before It Dies", and her favorite movie character from the movie, Billy:

Prue: You went to go see "Kill It Before It Dies" at the revival house didn't you?

Phoebe: No, why would you think that I... (Prue raises her eyebrows.) Okay, I did. But you know what? It was research.

Prue: Okay, what kind of class sends you to the movies?

Phoebe: No, not for school, for me. I mean, if I'm supposed to figure out what I want from a guy, I might as well start with the first guy I fell for, don't you think? Billy is the ideal man.

Prue: He's a character in a movie. One that I might add you weren't even supposed to watch.

Phoebe: When I was twelve. I think after a year and a half of battling monsters I can handle a scary movie. Did I mention that Billy is the perfect man?

Then when Leo walked in on Phoebe and Piper later . . .

Phoebe: No, not that. Billy. The guy from the movie and I know that this is reality but why can't a guy like that exist in my reality? (Leo orbs in.) Here I am talking about the shortage of perfect men and in orbs yours.

After that, I wanted to upchuck.

My God! Could she be anymore pathetic? Her idea of romance was to be with the ideal man . . . something that she has wanted since she saw "Kill It Before It Dies" at the age of 12. And her desire for the ideal man has not let up in nearly 20 years. What made matters worse was that Brad Kern and Alyssa Milano decided to saddle Phoebe with an "ideal" man by having her marry Coop at the end of the series.

Pathetic.

While watching "Death Takes a Halliwell", something what Prue had said disturbed me. She had chastised Cole for being a lone wolf - which had always been one of his faults, by the way. She also claimed that Cole was a danger to the Halliwells, because the Source and other demons could learn a lot about the Charmed Ones through him.

This does not make any sense to me. One, the Source's minions already knew a lot about the Halliwells around the time when the latter first met Cole. Remember that file he had on the sisters? Hell, it even revealed Phoebe's favorite movie. And if Cole was a danger to the Halliwells, then they were a danger to him.

Rose McGowan on "NIP/TUCK"
