Alas, my Ginny/Luna mix is nowhere near ready. Mostly a cover art issue. Anyway, I hope to have it up in the next two weeks. And now I am off to cook. Hope everyone has a deliciously femslash-y day! =D

I tried to get this posted yesterday, but I ran out of time. Plus it was just so damn hot in here, I had to escape to somewhere air conditioned for a while. :P But here is yesterday's [info]fannish5:

Name your five favorite geniuses - evil or otherwise - from any fandom )

It's my week to bring food to D&D. I tried to make a Russian honey cake last night, but so much went wrong. Baking is one of the few things I am anal about, plus I am PMSing and it was making me cry. So I trashed the whole thing. :( But I am going to try and make stroganoff this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed. If it doesn't turn out...Big Macs for everyone! :P I still wish I had a dessert to bring though.

OMG, Watchmen comes out on Tuesday! So getting the DVD AND blu-ray. And Robot Chicken Star Wars Special 2! =DDDD

YOU'RE THE _____ TO MY ______

I already have these:
House to my Wilson (although we do switch it up on occasion)
Pinky to my Brain
Different Names to my Same Thing (pending her approval) ^_^
Phillippe to my Ray Smuckles.
And John may not know it, but he is the GaGa to my Lady. XD

Friday was supposed to be a "girls" night of epic proportions. But it turned out to be just Laura, John and I. Which was definitely fun too. :) Went to Applebee's. Our waitress was really cute, but of course that only pleased me. XD Then came back to the apartment and watched Sex & the City. John and I will get Laura and I into it if it kills us.

I didn't go to D&D, I woke up really sick Saturday morning. So I spent most of the weekend in the bathroom. And the fifteen minutes I wasn't in there I watched TV (too blah to get online really). I forgot how much I loved season one of Gossip Girl. And of course Dracula, which I always watch when I'm sick for some reason. *shrug* Also, Pet Sematary 2 was free OnDemand. I hadn't watched it in ages! I totally forgot that it has awesome music in it! Sadly a soundtrack was never released. :( BUT I am collecting the songs (two more to go, but they are hard to find); and when I am done I am totally posting them!

So yeeeeah... I totally saw Half-Blood Prince twice in 12 hours. XD At midnight, and again the next day. I tweeted all about the midnight experience, so I won't talk about it again here (although my tweets have stopped importing and I have no idea why).

Apparently John went out and bought Rock Band while I was out with Lauren yesterday. And I am already addicted. I just hope my neighbors enjoyed my renditions of "Rebel Girl", "One Step Closer", "Man in the Box", etc. Sorry, those songs make you scream to win.

P.S. Have started watching Merlin, another addiction. But I am only on episode 7.

P.P.S. HBP makes me want to watch Moulin Rouge, but I left the DVD at my parents' house. Damn you, Jim Broadbent for being so awesome!!!!

Funny, we got the word that more layoffs are coming. I said if I got layed off I'm packing up and heading to Nashville that moment. Then, on the drive home I was listening to John Tesh where he said when you get layed off you should start a new career. I don't know, I gues I'll wait and see...

Before the album was released I thought this would be my fave song off the album. Of course, I hadn't heard "Trust You" yet (at least not the full thing). It may not be my #1 fave song on the album, but it is one of my faves and is still very touching.

Hey, I was listening to this song when I was in Nashville. Funny, I was only there such a short amount of time, but fell in love with it. The memory of everything is so vivid. I know I'm being called there, I just KNOW IT!! I'm ready when you are God, I'm ready when you are!!

You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd swear my former landlady put a whammy on me and the roommate because it just seems that ever since we moved into the new apartment, it's been one bad thing after another:

- First there was the accident. Everyone's fine. Roommate's car however is totaled.
- Then DSS screwed up my rent check and sent it to the old address instead of the new one. I've called the worker about it, but they haven't called me back yet.
- Now, the Post Office is holding our mail for some strange reason and since roommate's car is totaled we can't really head over there to sort it out. I mean, I could head over and check on my mail, but I can't collect hers.

And for the weirdest thing; Saturday night, the old landlady called and told us the woman who rented the apartment where we used to live died from a heart attack. The strange thing is, roommate saw this woman only a few hours earlier when she went to get her hair done (old apartment was over a beauty salon. Nothing fancy, just a place with a couple of chairs and some hair supplies. Mostly elderly ladies came in to get their hair done). But yeah, very strange to hear about that.

On the job front, there isn't much to report. I've put in more applications than I care to count and there's been nothing yet. Right now, I'm waiting to hear from a retirement home called the Strawberry Mansion Society and another one called Woodbrook - which is only a ten minute walk from where I live - about either Dietary Aide or a Personal Care Aide position. I guess either place will train you if they take you on. I also put in for another call center in another county, but I don't think I'll get that. See, they are planning on having a bus take people over there from where I live to where the place is, but the only shift they're having the bus for is from 4pm to 12:30am and unless they're going to be dropping people off in front of their homes or whatever, there's no way I want to be at the bus terminal at around 1 in the morning.

So, other than that, things have been pretty quiet. Even though I don't have internet right now, I'm still on the computer writing stuff. I'm so wrapped up in what it is I'm working on right now, I didn't even watch RAW last night but to be honest I don't think I missed much, but yeah, it's nice to have something to work on even if it's not what I really should be working on writing-wise.

Oh well. *shrugs*

Dad's Birthday / WWE RAW 2009 (Perth house show) [ Friday
July 10th, 2009]

l_i_z
I feel like I haven't been on here in forever! Hope you're all doing well. I haven't been up to much besides working (not much teaching- kids are on school holidays).

Wednesday was my Dad's birthday, as well as the RAW house show (first time in Perth!). We were quite disappointed with the card we ended up with- when we bought the tickets, the card included Chris Jericho, Batista, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, to name a few, all of whom didn't come because of the draft (except Batista who was injured). Then Kennedy who got drated to Raw was fired. I was still looking forward seeing to Brian Kendrick, Chavo, Triple H and Randy Orton though, and booing John Cena. Anyway, more on that later.

The limo picked us up and took us to a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner. I'd never actually had Viet before (and don't eat much Asian food anyway) and was pleasantly surprised with my meal. I had a beef satay stick and BBQ pork, which were both really nice. Yum. After dinner, we were picked up again and made our way to the Burswood Dome. There was so much traffic around, because of the Wrestling, but the driver took us through the shuttle lanes (and they let us, thinking we were special lol) and we got in pretty quickly. The lines at our gate was HUGE, but we managed to get pretty close to the front before waiting to get in. I found I'm quite good at pushing to the front of lines haha.

Photos )

We got in, found our seats (that were quite great! Second row, in the middle of the ring) and then had some more drinks before the show started. All in all it was an enjoyable night, but there were a few annoying things.....

Right at the beginning, the announcement was made that John Cena wasn't going to be there (he missed Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth, because he was going home for some baseball game and his Buck's night). That probably got the biggest boo of the night.

The only other thing was all of the little kids. When the show started, they all crowded in front of us, against the rails. We were all thinking WTF?!?! We paid $350 EACH for our tickets and these kids are standing in front of us because their seats are too far back???? When the first match started, they weren't going back to their seats and the people around us were seriously SCREAMING at them to move, so they ended up sitting in the aisles the whole night and moving in front of us between every match. I thought that was very rude of them and ridiculous that the Event Staff didn't do anything about it, after us telling them to move the kids every time.

At one point, I had a bunch of kids push in front of me and just stand there. He was physically touching me and I was fuming. He quickly jumped over the chair and stood right in front of me and I almost pushed him over. Later on there was this girl standing on the chair in front of me and knocking me as I was trying to take pictures, so I hit her to move her out of the way. I just think it was really wrong- everyone that had paid for their Platinum tickets were very respectful toward each other. In past years, people that were in the front row were standing up the whole time, making it impossible for anyone else to see, but this time everyone in the first ~8 rows around the entire arena kept seated during the matches so everyone could see. It was just the kids between each match ruining it for everyone else ugh. And then at the end, when Triple H came around to shake hands, I couldn't get to the front because of all the kids in the way. MY SEAT WAS IN THE SECOND ROW! Ugh.

Anyway, besides that we enjoyed the rest of the show. Quick results:

WWE RAW House Show: July 8 2009 (WWE's Official Photos)

Golddust over Kendrick (pics)
Alright match. Spanky didn't do any high-flying moves, and was getting booed (by everyone except for me) the whole time hehe. He did some heel things, like tying Golddust up in the ropes and Hornswaggle interferred (and, as usual, stole Spanky's jacket) then they won and Hornswaggle Tadpole Leaped Spanky.

Sheamus over Santino (pics)
Hadn't seen Sheamus before (I don't watch ECW often). He came out saying how great Irish people are and how much Italians suck. Got lots of heat, then Santino came out and got a good pop. It was a really funny/playful match- Santino kept doing "Hulk" things, and was very entertaining, but ended up losing. Lots more boos for Sheamus.

MVP over Chavo (pics)
Chavo got a lot more heat than I expected, once again I was the only one cheering him haha. MVP was really over with the crowd!
There was a guy in the front row on the ramp that started saying some horrible things to Chavo, and he stopped the match and went over there, completely lashing back. He was standing with his face about an inch away from the guy, taunting him to hit him haha, the security actually did their job for once and leapt onto him straight away. Chavo got back into the ring and put some moves onto MVP, yelling to the guy “That one’s for you, fatass!” haha. Then he grabbed the mic and said something bad about Australians, don’t remember what though. MVP ended up winning, after doing the Ballin’ thing.

Maryse over Kelly (pics)
They both got huge cheers from the crowd. Not a very interesting match, though at one point they did that thing where they rolled over the ref (and somehow undid his belt in the process), so he gets up, adjusts his belt, climbs onto the turnbuckle and throws his arms up in the air with everyone cheering him haha.

Kofi over Regal (pics)
Regal is great at house shows, he always gets really into the crowd. He was getting “you suck” chants, and replying with things like “At least I’m not Australian”. Some guy behind my Dad yelled “you swallow” and Regal looks over at him (thinking it was my Dad), but his hand up to his head like a phone and mouths “Call me” hahahhah. My Dad is sitting there frantically pointing to the guy behind him lol. Back into the match, Regal somehow busted his cheek open, so they stopped for a bit to get the EMT to look after him, but it was still bleeding pretty badly. No idea what happened. Kofi won and was very over with the crowd.

Cody over Primo (pics)
I had completely forgotten that Carlito and Primo were starting to feud haha. Legacy cheated to win, then Carlito came out and gave Primo a Backstabber. Wasn’t a very interesting match.

Big show over Miz (pics)
Miz came out and did a fantastic speech on how great he is and how much we all suck haha. He probably got the biggest boos of the night. After a while he called out anyone from the locker room to face him and Big Show came out and totally kicked his ass. Big Show also played to the crowd a lot. He geared up a huge slap across Miz’s chest, then the crowd was chanting “one more”, so he did it again, so of course “one more” and he looked over to us and said “wow you guys are MEAN!” but kept doing it anyway. Miz had a huge red mark across his chest, that I tried to photograph hah. Show also did things like pulling Miz into his butt, doing the Rikishi thing in the corner, balling him on the ropes, etc. Very funny.

Triple H over Orton Via DQ (pics)
Finally the main event. Randy came out first to some cheers but ended up mostly being booed. Triple H got the biggest pop out of everyone (quite expectedly) and they gave a reasonably slow but good match. At the end, Legacy came out and started beating the hell out of Hunter, then Big Show came out again, looked like he was going to help Randy but then started beating Legacy out of the ring. Hunter & Show shook hands and started playing to the crowd, while Randy & Legacy left the stage.
After the show, Hunter stayed out, went around the crowd shaking hands (I missed him by a centimetre! Damn kids) and then said that we had set the record for attendance at the Burswood Dome, and that by the sounds of us, he wouldn't have imagined that, so Big Show came out and there was a contest between Hunter and Big Show (who played face the whole night) to see which part of the audience was loudest. Ours won, obvs., and put Hunter's side to shame. They shook hands, then Hunter stood around flexing for a while before leaving.

Well that's enough of an update for today. xxxxx

You Like Being Single

Being single is just fine with you, but you don't always love it.

Like most people, you would prefer to be attached... but you are rightfully picky.

While you may not need to be in a relationship, you'd like to be in one.

You try to make your life as great as possible, whether you're with someone or not.

SeaWorld Quarter Birthday Goodness!! [ Tuesday
July 7th, 2009]

janetplanet
[ mood | happy ]

Dude, I gotta talk about my awesome birthday.

So, I headed over to Megan’s house, realizing that I was lost SOOO close to her place, lol! She gave me the awesome purple rally monkey that I so wanted (now named Jared), and we trotted over to Sea World.

We parked, got out free tickets and headed in. Now, this was funny, as they were checking our bags the guy was ratting off the list of items that we shouldn’t have. At the end of that list eh said hamsters, I was like, “Um, actually….” LoL, he was funny!

Megz was awesome, she said she would treat me to 1 thing, either the all day food pass, the encounter with the dolphins, or Dine with Shamu. Food, eh, food was no biggie. Now, we all know I love dolphins, but the dolphin encounter was just 15 minutes; it just didn’t seam worth it. So, I knew that both Megz and I would enjoy Dine with Shamu, so that was my choice. We went to go pay and make reservations. The lady said that the only poolside table they had was for the 8:15pm show, which is the one we took. Unknowingly, we totally signed up for the best show!!

First we went to get on Atlantis. Last time I went with Nicole we didn’t go on it so I really wanted to go. On our way we went to see the horsies. Yay for horsies!!! When we got to Atlantis we saw these beautiful dolphins. They were related to Orcas so they had that coloring going on, and they kept swimming upside down. They are found on the southern Atlantic by Eastern South America. They were just beautiful, I want one!!! Hehe!

Dude, that Atlantis ride was trippy. Maybe not after a few more times, but that first time, yeah, it’s trippy. I won’t ruin it for those who haven’t been yet, hehe!

Then we went to the Wild Artic. We got on the “helicopter” to get there. That last tug the helicopter gives hurt so much, lol. There we saw the beluga whales and the lazy polar bears. I got a KILLER view of the walrus. Dude, he was HUGE!!! That was crazy, hehe!

We went to all the other exibits. We saw the penguins, all sorts of fishies, sea otters, sea lions, manatees (aka beavers, ROTFL), ect. Then I noticed that the Dolphin show was about to start, so we ran over to get seats. Now, JP had the brightest idea of “Let’s sit in the 3rd row, you now, right where the splash zone is.” Sure enough, Megz and I sit in the third row. And sure enough, we got SOAKED!! Like, SUPPER SOAKED!! Like, every inch of my jeans was soaked, my shirt was soaked, and ever my underwear was soaked. I was wearing a hat, it too was soaked.

I gotta add that I really enjoyed the show. I loved Dolly Dolphin since I was little and I think it’s awesome that she’s 26 and still performing. Hehe! I loved the part of the show where the “mom” slips the first time, then she slips into the water and they send Bubbles to go “help” her and they do that under the water stint, hehe.

After the show we went to go and try to pet the dolphins, but they weren’t letting you feed them, which means they didn’t want to be petted. They are smart; they only come for the food, hehe!

Then, I couldn’t take it any longer, so we went in the bathroom and tried to ring out our clothes. Did that help? Hardly, lol! It was unusually cloudy (It actually rained a bit in the morning), so there wasn’t much sunshine to dry me up. We had a nice and healthy lunch (I had a strawberry Sunday, Meg a hot fudge Sunday, hehehe. We didn’t want to each much because of the buffet at Dine with Shamu), and then I really couldn’t take it any further. I decided we should go try and find a Target or something and buy some sweats or something. I normally have an extra pair of clothes in my car, but I recently took them off because of my trip.

So, we were in the car and I decided just to look arround to see if I could find something. I looked in some bags and guess what I found, PANTS!!! LoL! Not just any pants, but FANTASMIC pants, lol! Meg asked me when the last time I worked Fantasmic was, and it seriously had to have been at least 2 summers ago. ROTFL!! I also had my Candlelight shirt in the trunk. So, I put on those 2 year old, supper wrinkled Fantasmic pants and my Candlelight shirt. Needless to say, I wasn’t the least bit trendy, but hey, at least I was dry, lol. I got the biggest case of the giggles because that whole situation I was in was just hilarious. On my 25th birthday, a year when I’m more than ever officially an adult because I can finally rent a car without paying the “underage” fee, the year I’m supposed to be wise and have common sense, that is the birthday where I decide to sit in the splash zone on a cloudy day at Sea World and not have a spare change of clothes, which leads me to find a 2 year old pair of Fantasmic pants in my car, which shows how I am SOOO NOT a good and diligent cast member since I haven’t worked Fantasmic in 2 years yet have one full Fantasmic costume in my car, and wear said pants along with a Candlelight shirt around Sea World to stay dry. Ok, I know that was such a run-on sentence, only proving how not 25 I really am, ROTFL!

And for those wondering, Megan was smart enough to bring another pair of bottoms, only problem was that they were shorts. So, you had a freezing friend and a friend that looked dumb, lol!

After I changed into said Fantasmic pants, we went back into the park, saw a few more exhibits, then went to see the Cirque de sole type show. That show was really cool. Now, wanna hear the funny part? THE SUN STARTED SHINNING!! We were like, Gee, thanks sun for showing up NOW!! LoL!

After the show, we saw a few more exhibits, including the SEA TURTLES!! I love sea turtles, hehe. We pet the bat rays, got freaked out over the eels, saw a 6 sided star fish, and met our new friend the sheep head fish.

Finally, it was time to head over to DINE WITH SHAMU!! First, we went to go take a peak at the whales from the underwater area.

Now, earlier we noticed that we somehow accidentally picked the “Shamu Rocks VIP Backstage Dinner” and not just the regular Dine with Shamu. We were scared that somehow we weren’t going to the whales close to us. We asked the hostess what was the difference, and she said that basically the difference was that for this one we also got VIP seats for Shamu Rocks. Cool, we could live with that.

So, we waited for a bit and got to our seats. It was so cool; we were eating and could totally see the two whales, right there, right there. It was funny because our server came to ask our drink order and we ignored her because we kept looking at the whales, hehe.

We grabbed some food from the buffet, got our drinks, and basically starred at the whales. It was seriously SOOOO cool, I can’t explain how cool it was.

We heard the Stage manager speak, and she was explaining what was going on. Turns out, we were going to get a “behind the scenes” look at how the show is run...starting off with THE SOUND!!! They had their sound engineer and he was speaking about the music, and doing sound check (they use a love guitar player). They said we sould get to see the guitar player’s sound check.

Then we met one of the trainers. She talked about how she became a trainer and how they get the whales to do the tricks. It was really awesome, they showed us where the whales are fed, what they ate and how much, how they prepare for the show, how the concept for Shamu Rocks came to be, even a few practice tricks from the whales. We also got to hear from the creators and producers of the show and hear the back-story on everything. It was really supper cool. Then we did see the guitar players’ sound check. I was seriously in heaven. You know, music nerd me, and also logistical me, this was supper awesome.

The food was also very good. The desert table, *drool*! They had cheesecake; you know my weak spot is cheesecake. YUM!!!

So, somehow, Megan scored her hands on SeaWorld’s version of a birthday button, totally wore that with pride (Shamu has a birthday hat, hehe). Then the servers came and sung Happy Birthday to me. After our dinner we were escorted to our VIP seats to watch the show.

The show was awesome. The concept is that there is a global concert broadcasted from all the continents, so they play all sorts of music from each of the continents. My favorite was when they went to South America because one of the whales Salsa dances. It was truly a sight, hehe!! In another part Shamu break dances, hehe. It was truly awesome!!

After the show we stayed in our seats for the supper short  fireworks, hehe.

We then went over to catch a few more exhibits. We saw the octopus, some fish, and the sharks. We noticed that the fish were more active than they were during the day. We assumed it was probably because it was night time. It then hit me, “Hmmm, I wonder if the Polar Bears are active right now.”

We booked it back over to the Wild Artic (this time walking to the exhibit and not taking the helicopter, hehe). We saw the beluga whales as they were sleeping. We got to the polar bears, sure enough, they were out and about. I was taking a mess load of pictures. One of the keepers was there and we kept asking her a lot of questions, so learned a lot about the polar bears. We basically stood there with the polar bears until security had to come and kick us out, hehe.

We trotted back to the car, supper tired but happy for this awesome.

I seriously can’t express my gratitude enough to Megan for making this a supper awesome birthday. Thanx my Megan!! I need to start planning yours, hehe!

(P.S. Pictured to be uploaded as soon as I can get to it, hehe)

Ok, seriously, this was WAY too cute to not post.

So, this morning I went to go sign George and family into Disneyland. Elijah saw me there (their son who is 3 or 4). This was our conversation.

Elijah: JP!! What are you doing here?

Elijah: No, this is to play.
Me: No, I work here.
Elijah: No, you play.
George: Yes Elijah, she works here
Elijah: No, you play.
Me: You play Eli, but I work here
Elijah: *stops and thinks for a bit* No, how about I work and you play
Me: You want to do my work for me today?
Elijah: Oh, no, I can’t, I didn’t bring my tools
