The bug occurred when entries were posted with the date out of order. When finding the next or previous entry both time and jitemid should be used. Primarily sort by time, then jitemid. When there are multiple entries with the same time, filter and sort by jitemid. Thanks to pauamma, intrepia and azurelunatic for help with this bug.
