Well, this made my day.

I thought other members might be interested in how the Stephen Colbert-inspired "wikiality" website (which imitates wikipedia) defines Unitarians.

http://wikiality.com/Unitarian

Among other things, Unitarians love bears, like ouija boards, and are vampires.

Props to whoever made the Unity church change between when I first clicked on the link and then clicked on it again to double check the wording before griping.

They didn't even mention our wretched coffee habit. This has been amended. :)

As long as you're amending, please add something re: committees. Thank you.

HA! My congregation has a Committee on Committees too. Waah. I thought we were speshul:P

Why is 'Nominating Committee' not used, eh?

I dunno. My congregation a Nominating Committee. But then, we're way out of the UU loop. I mean, we're a theme church. That's so... er... so many years ago that it's not even on the Internet anymore.

Its a game... without rules? or at least no one knows the rules... and no one talks... (you dont actually play football) something about a dictator... I swear someone should do their doctoral thesis on this subject...

There are too rules! There are certain passes you do and you can't do them 3 times in a row... and you can talk, but you have to talk formally and call everyone Ms. Laura or whatever. But you can't talk when you're actually footballing... And you can call the dictator any combinations of the words dick and tator... like spud schlong.

Ha! That can only get better :)

I particularly enjoyed this part:

Agnostics are atheists without balls. Unitarians are agnostics without balls.

When I first moved from the United Methodist Church to the Unitarian Universalist Church my minister pulled me aside and said seriously: "You know what they say? Unitarianism is the half-way point on the slippery slope from Methodism to Golf." Well, I'm still stuck half-way!

Ok. I found this funny until I looked up the word squicking. I guess it means making a hole in a child's head and fucking it. Totally. Not. Funny.

Squicking wasn't on there when I put it up, and it's not up anymore. Unfortunately, some people get stupid with the open editing. It looks like someone fixed it, though.

Unitarians like using Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s drawing of an asshole, aka an asterisk *, to symbolize the "inclusiveness" of the U*U religious community.
