luvyourlife.If you make icons, join this community! We can always use new makers! And if you don't make icons, that's ok! That's what the community is here for, so you can get some!
1) Credit. And don't steal.
The people who make these icons have a great talent, and deserve some recognition for their work. Most of the icon makers I know do follow up on whoever takes their icons so they will know when they are not credited.
If you don't give credit where credit is due, it is considered theft, and further action will take place... Also, if you see an icon someone is using and it hasn't been posted to share, don't take it. Reports to

So since you don't want to steal, please comment on the post to let the icon maker know what you are taking.
And even if you don't take any, it wouldn't hurt to tell them that they did a good job!
3) Share.
This community is all about the love. Be good and deal with the fact that you're probably gonna' have to share your fab icon with someone else.
4) Feel free to request.
If you have an idea in mind, go ahead and ask someone to make it for you via a post. Hopefully someone will make it for you! If you do request, please lj-cut it if it contains an image {a link is ok in a regular entry} and icon makers usually have to have colors and text given to them.
5) Have fun. And be nice.
Don't fight or say nasty things or else the maintainer will boot your sorry butt out. Since we all share the love of silverchair, we all want to get along now, don't we?
6) Don't post anything non-icon related, please.
It needs to be icon related and somehow silverchair related, whether it be them or their lyrics. Please do not post articles, communities, news, etc. That's what other communities are for.
7) When posting, MAKE SURE YOUR ENTRIES ARE FRIENDS-ONLY.
We've had incidences lately where people have been stealing icons and not crediting. In order to control that we are making all entries with icons friends-only, so not just any old person can come along and steal.
