This is a gathering place for all those Calgary and area folk interested in health and fitness. Feel free to introduce yourself, announce your goals, invite people to health-related events, post healthy recipes, etc.
Fad diets, ads for harmful substances and generally unhealthy practises are NOT welcome here. Even the slightest hint at pro-ana mentality will result in your removal from the comm and my possibly making it moderated.
I would welcome, however, such things as:
- announcements of sports events: tournaments, drop-in classes, scheduled programs, marathons/walks/runs/etc.;
- healthy recipes (my personal preference is minimizing the "low-fat" and "fat-free" this and that and the other thing in favor of wholesome, healthy, tasty food);
- suggestions for walking groups, urban hikes, out-of-town hikes, classes and other things we could do together;
- sharing success stories (and not-such-success stories) and goals and general progress.
I will structure this comm more as time goes by. Welcome to a healthier tomorrow :)
