CGI ICONTEST

Hello and welcome to

cgi_icontest. This icontest is solely based on the wonderment that is C.G.I. movies. After searching livejournal, I couldn't find a suitable icontest for the movie, Shrek. So, I thought, "Why not make my own?" Which is exactly what I did, only I expanded on my original idea, with the help of several friends, and came up with this concept. C.G.I. movies are animated movies animated solely by computer and in 3D.

Each week,

ohthatisbadnews (aka me) will post a new challenge, and every challenge will have a theme, based on whatever I feel like at the time. The themes can vary from lyrics to provided image. HOWEVER. Each challenge will also have an overall 'standard'. This standard will be the movie or certain aspect of the movie of the week.

Winners will be awarded by popular vote. Each week we will have a first, second, third, special category, and mod's choice.

¡ Each week, iconists can submit 3 icons, unless otherwise noted.
¡ Please use only C.G.I. images. No real life/cartoon images will be accepted.
¡ You all know the drill. Icons must be compatible with LiveJournal standards; 100x100 and 40 kb, and only .jpg, .gif, and .png file formats.
¡ No voting for your own icon.
¡ This one is a biggie. NO ADVERTISING YOU ICON BEFORE THE RESULTS. If I found you have done so, your icons will be disqualified, and you will be put on a two week probation period.
¡ To go along with the above, no submitting icons while on probation.
¡ One account per maker. No fake ones to submit more icons.
¡ No cross submissions, which means the icon you submit must be made for this community.
¡ After the results are posted, all comments will be unscreened, in which you can ask the various iconmakers if you may snag their icons. ONLY IF YOU CREDIT. Not credit kills muggles.
¡ When making your icons, brushes, textures, and text are fine. HOWEVER animation is not. This puts everyone on a level playing field.
¡ Constructive criticism is fine. Bashing is not.
¡ Please, this is for fun. No drama/name calling/elementary school tactics.
¡ If you are in violation of these rules, and come clean, you will be given another chance.
¡ Two chances merits probation.
¡ Three chances equates bannination.

Sometime on Friday, I will post challenges, which will run a full week, upon which voting will be put up on the NEXT Friday. Soon after the voting is put up, the next challenge will go up. It is like a continuous cycle, see? Results will be posted on Sunday at Six O'Clock P.M. EST
