| About: | This community is for members only. It is meant to be a place where parents and the childfree can freely discuss any topic they so wish. Rules: 1.) Abuse will not be tolerated. Name-calling is out of the question. Don't agree with someone? That's fine, if you can disagree with them in a polite and civil fashion. If you don't think you can, than don't reply to them at all. I have a one strike policy. If you are reported for abuse and I find that the report is legitimate, you will be asked to make an apologetic post to both the community and the abused. If this is refused, you will be banned from the community. If it happens a second time, you used up your one chance and you are GONE. 2.) Any topic is open for discussion. I want this to be a place where the CF and parents can have actual discussions without everything going to hell in a hand basket. Please, people, let's try to stay off LJ drama, all right? 3.) No trolling. All requests for membership are looked over by me. You must be a member to join, but when I look at your info and I see nothing there, this is a classic troll characteristic. If you wish to join, you must have your info filled out. 4.) Make sure you have an active email address. I will most likely email you before allowing you to join the community, to make sure that this is a legitmate request to join the community. Also, if there are reports of abuse about you, I need to be able to get into contact with you, privately. Unless you want a scolding being posted to the public, make sure your email address is active and current. 5.) Please. Do not respond to the abuse with more abuse. To me, this is just as bad as being the abuser in the first place. Contact me immediately, I will take care of the infraction as soon as possible. 6.) Do NOT attack a poster on their own Livejournal. If I get a report of an abuse taking place OFF the community, you will be banned. There is no 'one strike' here. What happens in this community, stays in this community. Do not take it to someone else's livejournal. Where to send reports of Abuse Send all reports of abuse to cfvparents@hotmail.com Include in the Abuse emails: Use the Subject line "Abuse": No emails without subject lines will be opened and will be deleted immediately. This is done to prevent viruses and spam. If you are not reporting abuse, still have a subject line that gives me an idea of what the email is about. Thank you. Include your LJ username and the username of the abuser. I will need to look up their info to email them about the abuse or to ban them. Reports of abuse will be anonymous. No one else will know your name but myself. Include the urls of the posts and/or comments that concern the abuse in question. I will need to review them to deem if an abuse has truly taken place. This will be a fair and balanced review. If I have questions as to whether or not it is abusive, I will ask another, impartial party to review the post and/or comments and see what they have to say.
