Welcome to CF Haven, an open community where the childfree can chat, debate, and discuss various subjects without having to worry about breeders popping and ruining the fun.
Though there are many CF communities, there are none solely devoted to general discussion. They all center around CF topics, and posts having nothing to do with the CF community are discouraged. While it is nice to have a number of communities devoted to CF topics and debate, it is felt that a place where childfree people can talk about anything and everything is very much needed. There are many interesting and wonderful people that are CF out there, and this community is a way for all of us to come together in a 'safe space' to share interests other than being childfree.
rules
1. Please be respectful. While it is not expected that everyone be Miss Mary Sunshine-out-the-Ass all the time, it is expected that people refrain from being intentionally dickish. There is a difference between being sarcastic in good humour and just being a flat-out ass. Obviously we're not all going to agree with each other. That's fine. Just don't be an obnoxious fuck while disagreeing.
2. Trolling and flaming is not tolerated. If you cause a problem, you will be warned. If you continue to cause problems, you will be banned. This rule is not around to squash your right to free speech. This rule is here to prevent headaches for both the mods and the members. No one likes being e-harassed, and people who deliberately start wank will be mercilessly beaten with the banhammer.
3. To be in this community, you must be childfree. This means that you do not have kids now, and will not have children in the future. Obviously the mods can't know if everyone who joins is truly childfree or not. We can, however, ban people who make a pain of themselves by bingoing other members or start in with the, "Well, I may want children later, but for now I'm childfree!" crap. There are other places for you out there on the vast internets; please go to one of them.
4. Parents will automatically be banned. Obviously the mods can't stop parents from joining and lurking as it would require us to look at the journal of every single person that joined, but we can ban anyone the moment they mention having children. Again, there are other communities where supports of the CF lifestyle can hang about and chat. This is not one of them.
