[info]baaaaabyanimals has officially gone down the crapper. What the fuck do human children have to do with baby animals? Just some excuse for stupid breeders to moo. May I remind you folks that you are more than welcome to join [info]cf_pets and get your dose of baby animals without ever EVER seeing human fleshloaves. As bitchy as I am there, we are just as bitchy there with people moderating here, moderating there as well so no gooshy bullshit ever. Please feel free to join. I will be modifying the rules a bit to allow baby animals posts, even if they are not yours.

You don't have to own pets to be there. We can turn this into our own childfree baby animal appreciation site. So come on over and let's have a good time.

I think it might be a good idea to add words like "baby animals", "kittens", and so forth to the userinfo if you would like to encourage more membership.

Yayyyy! I joined a while ago and posted pictures of my cat and his kittens, I think it is just pathetic how some breeder-types want EVERYTHING IN THE FUCKING UNIVERSE to be about human babies.
I knit, scrapbook, do crafty shit, etc... but I will never in a million years join a community related to any of those things, because I just know every other picture posted would feature someone's sticky little child. Blehh.

aye. the community is called "baaaaabyanimals" not, "picturesithinkarecute." they have communities for that too. these postings of the sprogs aren't even their kids. posters slapped these up in the community because suddenly for this week only it's okay, and they went crazy on lame ass costumes they thought made a fucktrophy look cute. gah. most annoying.

So I just went over and looked at that comm -- specifically, the "baby humans as animals" posts.

I assumed (big mistake, apparently) that the people posting the pictures of sprogs would be posting pictures of their own sprogs dressed up for Halloween. Not tons of random Anne Geddes-type crap farmed from the 'net. What's the point of that?

To be fair, when I joined, I noticed the mention of that in the User Info, and they made an announcement recently as well. Also, the pictures don't pop up because you have to use an lj-cut or be deleted. So, it doesn't actually bug me.
