Childfree Fuckrags is a childfree community dedicated to maintaining free speech. As one member put it, you own what you say. We will not be restricting content in order to pander to any group, minority or otherwise. This means that all opinions are permitted relating to gender, age, class, sexual preferance, body type, disabilities, psychological issues, lifestyle, income, religion... need I continue? If you have something to say, say it.
Of course, I make no guarantee that the members won't flame you for it. Just as you won't be prevented from saying whatever you need to say, the mods will not babysit you if it comes back to bite you in the ass. You have been warned. The only promise I can make is that you will not be banned for your opinions.
Childfree means that you do not have children, do not want children, and will never have children. For this reason, parents and pro-lifers* are not welcome here. There are plenty of other communities for parents, and those who are uncertain, if you want to ask questions about the childfree lifestyle.
In this community, childfree is taken to mean:
You have not given birth to a child - including as a surrogate or to give up for adoption.
You have not adopted or long-term fostered a child. Taking care of children short term is fine.
You have either taken all necessary precautions to prevent pregnancy, or would be willing to abort if you did become accidentally pregnant.
You do not want children. You are certain of this and, as far as you are able to predict, will never change your mind. If you do change your mind you will no longer be welcome in the community.
We are still debating, as a community, whether sperm or egg donors should be counted as childfree. Give us your opinions in the Suggestion Box.
*Pro-life means that you believe abortion should be illegal. Believing abortion is morally wrong and you would not be willing to have one yourself is fine, as long as you would not inflict that on other people. You are pro-choice. If you would not have an abortion yourself please be aware that if you become pregnant you would be expected to leave the community before the birth of your child.
The rules are simple:
1. Don't be a troll. An utterly meaningless rule as I highly doubt a troll would even read this page. However, at this time I am permitting members to post content from here to communities such as stupid_free and sf_drama. If this is unpopular with the members this issue will be reconsidered.
2. You may post off topic, as long as it is not excessive, but please put content which is not relevant to the community behind a cut.
3. Images, videos and vulgar or offensive content should also be behind a cut. I won't ban you for this but please try not to forget.
4. Don't delete your posts or comments. This is an instant-ban offence.
5. If you are not thick skinned, you shouldn't be here. We've all got issues that are sensitive to us and in this community you will need to learn to scroll on past if your personal issues are being prodded at. I am not your mum. I am not your babysitter. Either post your opinion and move on, or ignore it. Whining to the mods will annoy us. Don't do it.
6. This community features adult themes, concepts, and issues, and therefore is Adults Only. Since 67.45% of the livejournal users who post their location are in the United States, we will be using the U.S. definition of a "Legal Adult" which is age 18 or over. If you are under 18 years of age but know you do not want to ever parent a child, biologically or otherwise, there are several other childfree communities available to you, such as childfree or even cf_hardcore. This rule is strictly mandated, but loosely enforced. Basically... it is not a problem unless you make it a problem.
This is a new community and this information will change a little as we grow and adapt, but one thing will always stay the same - this community will always be a place where you can say exactly what you think.
