About

who we are
This is a community for the completely wonderful and amazing members of the Cerulean Butterfly messageboard. The purpose of this community is to allow members to connect via lj and to engage in intelligent discussion over any and all aspects of eating disorders.

This community is not pro-ana, but it is also not strictly recovery oriented. It recognizes the ambivalence many people feel about eating disorders and, as such, strives to create an environment of support and camaraderie among sufferers.

the basics

  • As with the board, harmful tips and tricks- such as how to purge, how to obtain diet pills, etc.- are not allowed.
  • All posts are now friends only by default. Edit your post to make it public after posting and die ;) (or, you know, have your post deleted).
  • Follow the golden rule- treat other members as you would like to be treated and respect other people's values and opinions. Members who are unnecessarily rude will be subject to disciplinary action- up to and including removal from the community.
  • Place any pictures posted behind an lj-cut (don't know how? look here).
  • Make an effort to use good spelling and grammar; if you want to be taken seriously, please have the consideration to type seriously.
