    Come play!
*Anyone who has both me and the Cepheid list friended may see this twice. Sorry about that.*

I have nerdy friends. I know this for fact. I know a number of you, probably everyone reading this, falls into that category.

Nerds like ninjas. Nerds like games.

Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today!

That game, that one there - Right there ^ - is fun. Quite a bit. It takes very little time, is amusing and witty, and if you happen to watch Naruto (which I don't, but I'm sure some of you do/did), Death Note, or Bleach it has a number of extra jokes for you to get.

I want people to play because I like for my friends to do things with me. I am in the fucking frozen north and none of the rest of you are.

Play the damn game. When you get around to it, join my village in the game (Nightmare Village).

    Do it.

    Howdy all,

My girlfriend and I need a room to crash in after hentaifest at A-kon Saturday night. We have a ride to and from the convention, but she won't pick us up at 3am. We just need a place to sleep on the floor. We can even chip in on the bill for the day if you like.

    Aggiecon '07 Art Show?
    Hi all!

I sent art in to the Aggiecon Art Show, and have yet to receive any unsold art back, or a payment for any art that sold. I've heard from some other artists who are in the same boat. The Aggiecon website is currently down. Anyonw on this community have contact with this past year's Art Show Director, or anyone else who might be able to help us out?

    Thanks so much!

    Job Oppertunity
Advanced Gaming Systems (AGS) is looking for some workers.

Hours are 10-20/week, flexible, at home, one weekly face to face meeting in town. Pay rate starts at $8/hr, DOQ.

I have several needs, one worker should be able to do 1+ of these tasks:

    1. Help manage the Beta testers for both products - that is working with
them, our forums, and our bug tracking systems. Requires being chatty.

    2. QA Coordinator - working primarily between the Beta Team and the
Development Team, managing bugs, closing them out. Requires a hard nosed
    ability to break games.

    3. Sysop - takes builds and posts them, helps admin Forums, Wake's, Mantis
applications, develops PhP apps as necessary, runs reports from mySQL to
support the company. Typical personality for this one.

    4. VBA programmer - works on Access database editing application used to
edit our databases. Must know Access already - no learning curve for this

    5. Assistant coder - helps my four Aggie coders with image and sound files,
builds, and other "around the edges" stuff. tests intermediate releases,
    works on tooling/utilities.

They also get named credit in any release they work on (i.e. their name in
the game and the manual if they are still working with us when we ship or
leave under acceptance circumstances). They get to work with a real live
game company that does Serious Games and straight Entertainment games. They
get training in some Software Engineering processes.

To apply, send me a resume, and an attachment detailing:

    * Games they play (with links to the websites)

    * Online activities related to the games (Forums, Clans, etc)

    * Anything they've done that maps to one or more of the above skills
    that I should consider.

    Please send applications to dgilman@advancedgaming.biz

    Schlockfest video
I managed to misplace my copy of a schlockfest video I did about 4 years back. I am going to be in CS on Saturday, and I was wondering if it was possible to bring a blank VHS and get a copy made or something along those lines. The title of the film is Merchant of Venice II: Back for Blood. I'd also like to make a copy of another film I was in, Blair Sock Monster Project. But I'd be happy with just Merchant of Venice II.

I am going to Rocky in Austin this weekend at the Drafthouse on Anderson Lane with a few people. Tickets are $5. Anybody else who wants to come out for the show and the obligatory pancakes-at-Kerby-Lane excursion immediately after should call me, yeah?
