Izumicon (oklahoma city) lolita events

Hey girls! In case you didn't know izumicon will be taking place November 21st-23rd in midwest city, and will be hosting some lolita events. They are tenatively planning a fashion show, a lolita tea, and some lolita panels. I'm going to be hosting a panel myself, and the staff member in charge has ask me to put the word out that they are looking for experienced lolitas to participate in these events and run other panels. Soooo if you are interested in running a panel, would like to volunteer to help out with a panel (I'm going to need a couple of girls or guys to model my clothes for the demonstration part of my panel), or you just have an idea for a panel or event, you can comment here or contact her directly at FaeandMerfolk @ FoxMoonProductions . com

Hey guys, I haven't forgotten about you all.

Since I started centre_loli A little over a year ago, life has really decided to take a big dump on me. Without making you guys have to listen to my sob stories involving finances, parental units trying to die on me at every turn, and various other BS, I can say that once some stuff starts clearing up for me, the Kansas area crew ( All three of us!) might actually be seeing more of me.

Missouri Lolita

Theirs a convention coming up in March, called Anime STL. I was hoping to get a gathering together. Theirs going to be a maid cafe their with cakes and tea I believe, but after that I thought we could go somewhere nearby for some treats and a small photoshoot. I'm going to be looking for a nearby place. If anyone has suggestions and/or would like to join please let me know right here and Ill check and reply a.s.a.p. I really hope we get a good turn out of Missouri lolitas, and make it a fun event for everyone. I have a lot of planning to do, so if anyone wants to help plan then please let me know a.s.a.p! Thanks!

P.S. - Any non-Missouri Lolita are welcome too!

I know I'm supposed to post images behind a cut, but since this is kind of last minute and I want people's attention, I'll leave this one out. Will cut it if asked.

Please note that the EGL Brunch will only happen if weather permits, that's why we're meeting in the lobby before-hand. The Soho Cafe and Bakery is approximately .5 miles away from the hotel (6 blocks), and if it's 30 degrees and snowing outside, it's not worth the effort. For now, our contingency plan will be to walk to Starbucks (about 2 blocks away). If THAT doesn't work... well, party in my room, I guess XD;;;

Note to Those Under 18:
The brunch is not an officially sanctioned con event. It will likely take place OFF HOTEL GROUNDS. I have no authority to make you do this, but I ask that you please get permission from your parent/guardian before taking off with us. Your parents are welcome to come along, or even to drop you at the location at 10:00. Regardless, please do me that favor so I don't have to suffer the wrath of angry parents...

NOTE: I will be wearing THIS DRESS for both events, so look for me!! I'm the dork girl with shoulder-length red hair, red glasses, and fake rocking horse ballerina shoes XD;;;

Hello!

My name is Darcy and I'm 14. I live in a small city/town a stone's throw away from Lee's Summit (which is almost 30 minutes from KC). I've been a lolita for 6 months or so. I enjoy sweet, classic, kuro, and shiro lolita.

There really isn't much else to say about me; so I'll get straight to my question.

Are there any other Lee's Summit Area lolita's? I wouldn't plan anything really soon but maybe one day it would be nice to go to the Lee's Summit Shopping Center and plague Targe' with our frillz, then enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate and a cookie at Border's? So yeah, speak up if you live near the Lee's Summit area!

I would also like to ask if there are any KC meetups being planned for next year? (I really wanted to go to the Springfield meetup on the 15th, but alas, I'm a 4 hour drive away.)

So, yes, yes...I want to meet other lolita at a meetup sometime, you guys all seem so wonderful~

I would like to get a meetup together in Springfield. I was thinking 11/17 or 11/18 (or 11/10 or 11/11). Here's a list of possible things to do..

idea for possible lolita convention in the midwest

I am not quite sure if this is on topic or not and if is not I really, really do apologize.
I was inspired to look at doing this last year....when I came across a convention that was devoted only to Jrock. I would love for something similar to happen in the world of Lolita, but realized there was nothing in that kind of category and possibly there would be nothing ever done unless someone took action...well I am considering try to do some research and possibly get something organized in the next few years..as to a small lolita themed convention. I am going to take my time with this, since I need to organize if people are in fact interested and if I can get people to come and do panels maybe even a fashion show. Also the price of admission would be fairly low....I know for lots of people how much you pay to get into a show is a BIG factor of if you actually attend or not, so it might be about $5 or $10 I am still brain storming on ideas..but I was just wondering would anyone in here think this is a good or bad idea I would love to pursue this more but I want to get people's feedback as well.
So please help me out with at least that much right now, I will work out more details as time goes on. But right now I am concerned about what people think and getting as much feedback as possible for the moment.

Ok Everyone! It has been desided! There will be a Lolita Meet up on the 15th of December, in Omaha Nebraska. We'll go to the Cheesecake factory and then go down town to stroll through the old market where we might go on a horse drawn carriage ride.

More can be added or taken away, but that is the plan so far. Please let me know if you'll be coming so i can make a list and get enough party favors!

Should I make an accompanying MySpace group of this LJ group?

The benefits would be people could find out stuff a wee bit easier and the like. You'd also have another way to get a hold of me (VIA MySpace), because it is a bit difficult to get my attention just via LJ, but at the same time I dun wanna give out my mail here and get harassed to death by spambots.

It would also garner us members from people who only have one or the other.

The September meet-up will take place at the Japan festival in Overland Park. This will be on the 29th, which is a Saturday. The event starts at 10am and will run till 8pm. The cost is $7, so please bring money. Maybe we can plan a dinner too. Cheesecake Factory or Rainforest Cafe anyone? Please RSVP and let me know what time you will be there. We should also set up some sort of carpool for the lolitas in the Lawrence area

I have been planning a Teddy Bear Tea Party for awhile and was thinking it would be fun to have any Mid West Lolis who wanted to get away from it all for a day or two to have a nice tea party with some sight seeing and photo shoots.

Any one interested? I live in Nebraska so it would be held in Omaha and well...let me know, the invite is open to all. I love having people to entertain and my parties are always legendary.

The party date is set loosely last weekend in november, or the wirst weekend in december.
