• Community members do not profit from their stories and art, nor do they claim ownership of anyone or anything depicted.
  
• A Cellarful of Boys is a Real Person Slash community, featuring fictional depictions of men in romantic or sexual relationships with other men. Please move along if this is not your cup of tea.
  
• This community may feature adult content.

• A prompt for drabbles (stories of 500 words or less) will be posted by the community moderator each Monday. Community participants will then have one week to respond to the prompt before the next one is posted. Longer fanfiction challenges will be posted from time to time, at a rate of about one per month; instructions and deadlines for these challenges will vary.
  
• If you have a suggestion for a drabble prompt or fanfic challenge, please leave a comment in any post by the moderator which announces a weekly drabble prompt. You may also e-mail the moderator if you would like to remain confidential. Please indicate whether or not you would like to be given credit for the suggestion. The moderator will make every effort to use suggested prompts, but reserves the right to modify them.
  
• When posting a drabble response, please make a separate post. You are not required to use a heading, but you should include the title of the response (if applicable), the prompt that it was written for, the pairing, the rating, and any appropriate warnings about kinks or other content. See the Community Policies below for further details about posting (LJ-cuts, warnings, etc.).

• Stories and writers come first; pairings come second (or, preferably, do not matter at all). Community members must show courtesy and respect to writers of all pairings, regardless of personal preferences. What this means:
  
  
  
  • Arguments about pairings, or comments stating or implying that one pairing is "better" or "more obvious" than another, are directly opposed to the spirit of the community and will not be tolerated. Pairing Wars will be met with modly fury.
    
  • Praise and criticism should be based on the individual stories, not on pairing likes or dislikes. You are strongly encouraged to read and even write stories outside your usual favorite pairing. However, when critiquing stories written about pairings which you dislike, you must either be respectful or avoid commenting altogether.
    
  • Comments along the lines of "I don't usually like this pairing, but your story is better than the rest of what's out there," while not worthy of getting you banned, are condescending and snarky and generally frowned upon.
  
  
• This is a community for written responses to drabble prompts and fanfiction challenges. This is not a community for discussion or speculation about certain pairings or individuals, or about the Beatles in general. Please see the links below for other communities where such discussion would be more appropriate. Do not post icons or photos.
  
• All posted works must focus on male/male relationships: friendships, romantic and sexual relationships, conflicts, etc. They should also involve one or more of the Beatles. Pairings involving friends of the Beatles (i.e. Brian Epstein, Eric Clapton, etc.) are encouraged, but "Beatlekid" stories and crossovers with other fandoms (i.e., Doctor Who, Harry Potter, etc.) should be posted elsewhere.
  
• Feedback and constructive criticism are important parts of this community. Criticism should be politely given and graciously received. Please be open about the sort of feedback that you would like to receive; for example, if you have written a drabble in a hurry, let others know that you are aware that it might not be your best. Try to let others know what you specifically like about their stories, but don't feel that you have to go into too much detail or give both positives and negatives every time you review another writer's work.
  
• All members are encouraged to regularly take part in drabbles and challenges and to leave feedback for others, but there is no minimum requirement for participation.
  
• Place all R- and NC-17-rated content behind an LJ-cut. Any content in your stories that could potentially upset or offend some readers (such as extreme violence or kinky sex) should be described in a warning note. You are responsible for rating the content of your own stories. Please do not read or complain about content that offends you if you were warned about it.
  
• Stories about non-consensual sex or rape are prohibited.
  
• Long stories, large images, and series of images should be placed under LJ-cuts.
  
• Please do not promote other communities without permission. If you would like to display a link to another Beatles-related community on the profile page, feel free to contact the moderator for approval.
  
• All members should be treated with respect and politeness. Failure to play nice may result in your being banned. Harassment, threats, spamming, and trolling by community members or other Livejournal users will not be tolerated.
