positive:It's a nice composition./the coulouring is really good over all a great icon/the idea of the icon is really good
negative:reason- the way he/she cut Sienna is not perfect, the edges are still too sharp and the coloring is too red/reason- the texture is killing the picture's quality

2.
positive:very original/really pretty
negative:the coloring is too pale, and the brush/texture used doesn't complement the icon/Looks too crowded.

3.
positive:beautiful the round border makes it elegant/the icon just works
negative:background doesn't blend in with the picture well./the texture dose not work

4.
positive:really pretty
negative:reason- even thou it has a nice cropping the icon lacks of colouring/The coloring is not very flattering./the cropping is too centered/the colouring dosnt work well with the icon/to plain

ROUND #4 - SIGN UPS!

celebslims is recruiting members again! Round 4 will, however, only have 10 spaces. So sign up quickly!! There is, however a catch, I want to make this a sort of elite challenge, so please submit 4 - 5 of your icons and I will decide whether or not you've been accepted. I will only give constructive criticism/feedback and please do not enter if you cannot take it.

Aprart from that, spread the word!! :)

Because I am so busy these days, I really don't have the time to run my communities anymore - I'm closing them all down. Maybe I'll do occassional challenges here and there but not regular ones.

I'm really sorry I have to do this but there's no other option for me at the moment. Thanks a lot to everyone who joined/participated/voted and helped promote etc.

I'm pretty much leaving LJ too, I think I'll just be a random icon maker whenever I get the time.

2 Negative votes - the brush at the bottom doesn't work well with the icon.//The kodak texture doesn't work in this icon, because the icon is originally very dark, and it just becomes too dark with the texture. The texture also have a very bad quality.

Icon no# 2.
1 Positive votes - Good cropping and good placement of the text.
3 Negative votes - It's a weird crop, and it needs some sharpening//quite washed out, he seems a bit blue in the face//is too bright almost washed out

Icon no# 3.
1 Positive votes - Nice textured background and bright colors
2 Negative votes - Texture clashes with the pic.//The colors are much too busy. The pattern distracts you from the actual image. Nothing about it looks natural.

1 Negative votes - too many textures on the icon, the scratchy one is killing the picture

5 Negative votes - The icon is too dark, and the texture don't compliment the picture//the texture used is too overpowering, he seems distorted//kinda dark, but like the texture//though it's a creative use of the texture, the overall look isn't pleasing. Also, the image looks unfinished.//It looks like the man has a hole in is stomach because of the big holes in the notebook texture. The icon would have looked a lot better if the notebook texture was in the whole icon, and the tinytext was cut out, because it's very distracting.

2 Positive votes - so simple and so pretty at the same time//The tunnel effect and squiggly light textures make the icons feel a little disoriented and suspenseful, which really suits the picture. The coloring is vibrant and rich.

Plus, I think they actually did nothing to the coloring.

3 Positive votes - LOVELY use of textures!!//I love the crop and use of texture.//goof use of paper textures, and matching the orange shirt design with the orange light textures is nice, especially against the grey. Plus they even turned up the orange in his skin. The tiny text is well placed.
