Celeb - Celebrities, the theme of the community. 20in20 - This part was taken from the TV show Rove Live where celebs can earn $20 in 20 seconds for answering questions. | How it works | |
![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} celeb20in20 is divided up into 3 popular forms of icontests1/2 icons100 1/4 icontest 1/4 iawards ( iawards) You have 20 days to make 20 icons as opposed to 100 icons in a month. This cuts down 1. time for voting, 2. voting being too image heavy and 3. the circumstances of life if something comes up and you don't have time to make 100. You will be given 10 default themes, a 5 icon category set (one month it may be 5 different icons from 5 different movies/tv shows, facial expressions, who knows?) and 5 Artists Choice. Both the 'category' and 'artist's choice' section of the challenge will be voted for as both sets AND individual icons.1/4 iawards: At the end of the 20 days voting will be posted. You will be voting for your favourites in in each part of the challenge. 1/4 icontest: The 'Artist's Choice' icons will be voted upon like a normal icontest would 1st-5th place (due to high participation) & Mod's Choice. | |
| Challenge & Voting Breakdown | |
Themes: (10 icons) To mix it up, especially for those who'd like to participate on a regular basis, the themes will be altered each round. This category will include things like you'd see in a 100 challenge. (happy, beautiful, black and white, current, light, dark, winner, young etc.) Set Category: (5 icons) The set category consists of 5 icons which all have something in common. Examples of set categories could be 5 different photoshoots, 5 different movies, facial expressions, 5 candids etc. They're not judged as a set and don't need to look like a set. Artist's Choice: (5 icons) Which is exactly that. You have 5 icons where you can run wild with your imagination. All icons have to comply with the livejournal standard. Voting will be posted in 4 different entries. Why the split? Due to the number of participants and the varied internet connection speeds we want to cut down the loading time. It's also due to the fact that the amount of icons in the voting poll it makes it easier for people to look at all the icons properly without it being cluttered. Theme will be divided into two seperate posts (5 themes per post) and will be voting for using the iawards method determine the overall winner of each theme. Category will be all in the one post. Due to high participation we now award 1st-5th place. Artist's Choice will be in one post and voted upon like a normal icontest with winners 1st-5th and Mod's Choice. | |

| You must choose one celebrity to make 20 icons with. The same celebrity cannot be selected more than once. However, if you'd like to participate next round also you can reserve your first choice. You can't use the same celebrity twice in a row but every 3rd challenge is fine. You can only enter once, using one celeb per month. (No couples. No bands, just a member sorry.) All icons must be made specifically for this community, each round you decide to participate in. No prior work can be submitted. Icons however can be posted before voting goes up. Once you've signed up to enter the challenge you will be given moderated posting access which means a mod must approve the post before it can be viewed. You can either link us to your icon journal giving 3 examples, not just banners link to your icon post or you can post them here under a cut, still giving 3 examples before it. ALL ICON POSTS MUST BE PUBLIC. We don't want to have to join/friend you in order to see your icons to post voting. Please, if you participate try to check out the other participants entries. (another reason why there's an unlocked rule.) You want people to check out yours and vice versa, it's fair game. Because they can be shown before voting. Please vote without bias!! Nothing else matters besides the quality of their icons. They must fit the livejournal standard. (under 40kb, 100x100px and either .png, .gif or .jpg file format) This is a stills community. All images must be PG RATED. Meaning no depiction of violence or either genders 'bits' visible. If you're unsure, just ask. | |
