--------COMMENTS/NOTES------------- This is the first album that got me acquainted with this wonderful band, so I think it's quite apt that this will be my first post here. Urbandub is a 5-member band from Cebu, Philippines who was able to gain a wide following amongst audiophiles from the whole country without support from a major recording company. Relying only on their connections with fellow musicians, they were able to share their music through endless tourings and spots on concert festivals. Their efforts bore fruit when they won Best Song of the Year in the NU Rock Awards 2003 for "Soul Searching" and Album for the Year in the NU Rock Awards 2004. I often say that Influence could very well be the soundtrack of my love stories. A New Tattoo describes how powerful a crush can be [attention fangirls]. Quiet Poetic is about the tender moments between lovers while Gone can be your favorite song when your loved one is already...gone. Set to infectious rhythms and driving melodies, Influence will surely stay on your players for a long time. I hope you drop by to tell us what you think of the album.
