In the beginning, Emre created one World.
In this world were Four Kingdoms, each entrusted by Emre with a gem of great power. Each gem was imbued with an element, and its holder can control that element at will. As long as the gems are kept properly, the balance over the Kingdoms remain. If the gems are united together, they will grant the holder the power to rule the whole World.
To the North was given the gem of Earth, with power over vegetation and all its creatures.
To the East was given the gem of Wind, with the power to create and manipulate aspects of the wind and air.
To the South was given the gem of Water. The keeper of this gem has power over every body of water, large or small.
And to the West was given the gem of Fire, arguably the strongest element of all.
The Kingdoms lived in peace for a long time, until the Western Kingdom sought to wage war on its neighbors in an attempt to gain sovereignty over the World. The other three Kingdoms banded together against this threat, and the West lost in the Great War, leaving their city in ruins.

Seeing is believing. And you see. You see. The year is 2020, and the humans have grown smarter. They've become suspicious of what really lurks in the shadows, of the howls piercing through the air during the night, of the screams sounding from far away and dying out all too soon, too soon for a second thought, and of the bodies that turn up days; weeks; months later in appearances so mutilated that even the best of scientists cannot identify these nameless souls any longer, simply resorting to naming the missing dead. But what these humans do not know is that the world isn't just filled with misfortune, pain, sorrow, and secrets; secrets - yes. But secrets hide the truth from the heavy light of blinded judgment from shining upon what should never be known. There are creatures that roam amongst the humans, however, as the world works, not all are a danger to the "defenseless" humans, as there must be good to balance out evil; light to push against darkness. But the humans, they don't understand; no, they don't want to understand. And so they choose to live their life ignorant to the fact that not all things different in a physical sense from them are evil; bad; monsters. Monsters. That's what they are called - monsters. The humans have intellectually expanded upon their weapon industry and set up search and destroy missions to go after these " monsters," killing all who have abnormal fangs, wings, skin, claws, tails; anything, anything that is different is a threat. However, as there are good creatures that live amongst the humans, there are also kind-hearted humans who are more open-minded and accepting to the fact that the world is changing and humans aren't the only ones inhabiting the Earth. They acknowledge, and understand, and some even love. Vampires, demons, angels, fairies, half-breeds, full breeds, all; they accept them all. These humans have unknowingly formed an alliance against the hatred-filled humans; a sort of silent way to save these creatures from unnecessary torture and gruesome deaths by taking them in, caring for them, loving them, even. The year is 2020, and the question is: " Who's side are you on?" | |
