Good News
Good news for Christian!

He has finally landed roles in two major movies.

In fact he will be playing John Wilkes Booth in the upcoming National Treasure sequel National Treasure: The Book of secrets. That seems like a pretty juicy character for him to play.

Christian himself said "Should be fun. How many times does someone get to shoot Abe Lincoln?"

US Release date is December 21st 2007.

After completing shooting for National Treasure 2 in London a couple of weeks ago, Christian flew straight to Jordan, where he's currently working on an Iraqi war movie called Hurt Locker.
I have no further news about his role in this movie. Hopefully we'll get an update from Christian soon.
The movie is due for release sometimes in 2008.

I'm so excited for these two new movies. He is finally getting the attention he deserves. Hopefully these will be the first of a long series of big features for him...and great TV shows!

This movie stars Nicholas Cage, too, which means it should get good publicity and Christian will get excellent exposure from it.

Does anyone know what Hurt Locker is about?

I discovered CC as Rudy in Dexter, and I flipped. So I guess with all these movie roles, he's not coming back in flashbacks on the new season of Dexter. They should have let him live. ;-)

I still have questions about Dexter. Rudy killed Dexter's real father. Why? Do we find out next season? I thought it might be an opportunity for CC to come back for a scene or two. But if he's in Jordan doing an action movie, why would he want to be in Florida. ;-)

I can't wait either! And like you said this is a big movie so it will be good for him.

I have no idea what will happen in Dexter season 2, besides the first two episodes that leaked online, and that I have already watched. I doubt though that he will be back for more episodes in season 2, as they seem to have given a full closure to the Brian/Biney arc.

The Hurt Locker is about an elite Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team in present-day Baghdad that fights an onslaught of bombs and snipers. It is imspired by true events from recently declassified information.
Kathryn Bigelow, who already worked with Christian on K-19 The Widomaker, is directing and co-wrote the script.
