This community is for iconmakers who are requesting banners to be made that are not permitted to be requested at custom_banners or redobanners (i.e. remade banners, banner requests for communities that have banner makers, and so on). This community follows the same rules of custom_banners, in that ALL requests must be from Livejournal icontests. No banners should be made for any non-livejournal contests.If it seems like the community is dead, fear not. We just delete entries once the requests have been filled to clean things up. XD |

| If you've won an icontest and would like a banner, please join and make a request post! When requesting a banner, create a post and put the following form behind an LJ-Cut. We have included this information in the code below. You can cut and paste the text from this box right into your post to make it easy for you: If you are having problems with the coding within your entry after posting to this community check that your entry is set to the "HTML" tag and not the "Rich Text" tag. More often than not, this is the cause of problems. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR REQUESTS TO 2 BANNERS PER POST (one post at a time per person). Upon completion of those banners you may make another request. Listing your font, textures, and brushes enables people to match your banner as closely as possible to your icon. Please be patient while waiting for your banners. We all have lives, and we are all volunteers in this community. We have no deadline to meet. The mod ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} gunshou will go through the community a few times a month to fulfill any requests that have been sitting for 20+ days.Once you make your request post, a banner will be made for you and left in a comment by one of the banner makers. For each banner that has been filled, please comment to say you've picked it up and then edit your request post to either cross out or delete the said icon so that it'll be easier for banner makers to refer to. Once all your request(s) have been filled, either delete your post or leave a comment on the post so a mod can delete it. Please note that when banners go unclaimed for 4-5 days after being posted/filled to a request, the post gets deleted whether someone has commented or not. If this doesn't happen, then the community gets clogged with old posts. If you for some reason were unable to pick up a banner and your post was deleted, you can now find them over at missing_banners. These posts will never be deleted and will contain the following: the name of the person who requested the banners, the name of the person who filled them and the banners themselves. You do not have to join this community to pick up old banners from it.For those people who need a banner remade due to poor quality, please check out our sister community redobanners. |
Please know that this community will not be keeping a list of banner makers, that anyone can fill requests and anyone can make requests. With that being said, the only modding that will be done for this community is to clean up old posts and monitor posts for harassment or solicitations. However, if you are going to fill someone's banner request in this community, the mods request that you please use a graphics program of some quality (PS, PSP, Gimp, etc.) rather than MS Paint. Also, please put a modicum of effort into making the banners you volunteered for. If a moderator feels that the banners are not up to par with what this community is supposed to offer, we will request that you please stop making banners. You will still be welcome to request banners. When filling a request, comment on the entry first. This way, there won't be several icon makers all making the same banners because nobody thought to leave a notice at the post. Please make every effort to fill the request that you've claimed within 48 hours rather than let it sit. After that time frame, it's fair game and another maker may take over if they so wish. All comments, questions, or concerns may be directed to this post. Comments are screened. Comm layout by minty_peach. |
