AboutWelcome to Cate Stillness, an icon contest devoted to the talented actress, Cate Blanchett. Each week either a studio or red carpet photo of Cate is posted and community members have the oppurtunity to create and icon and submit it to the contest.

Rules
1. No animated submissions!! You may use only the image provided. Brushes, textures, text and other non animated icon elements are allowed.
2. Your submissions must remain anonymous. This means you may not use or post your icon elsewhere until after the voting and winners have been annouced.
3. You may not vote for yourself or tell others to vote for you. This totally defeats the purpose of rule #2.
4. Make sure your entries fit within Live Journal's size standards (under 40kb file size and 100x100 pixels or less).
5. Do not take any entry without the maker's permission. Please wait until after the winners have been annouced to ask for use permission.
6. No obscene language is allowed in your entry.
7. You may enter only one entry per week unless otherwise notified.
Submitting
1. Early in the week I will make a post in which you can comment with your entry. Comments are screened so only you and I can see the submission.
2. You will need to host your entry somewhere that allows direct (or remote) linking. Geocities/Anglefire/Tripod do not allow this. However, Photobucket.com is a great place to host images.
3. When commenting to the weekly post with your entry, please include the url of the image like this:
url: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v36/missc/iconisms/0168.jpg
4. Please note you must be a member of the community to enter an icon.
Schedule
Weekly photographs are posted Monday morning along with the submission post. All entries are due by Friday at 11pm (EST). The voting will be put up Saturday morning and continue through Sunday. Monday morning winners are annouced and banners are posted shortly thereafter. The categories for winning are First, Second, Third and Mod's Choice.
Voting
1. You do not have to be a community member to vote, but you must have a Live Journal account. Anonymous votes will not be counted.
2. You are allowed to vote for up to three entries in the poll. Users who vote for more than three will not have their votes counted.
