Foreword: I wrote this because maypirate was saying that she wanted to read my A2A stuff, but was staying away because of the massive spoilers. So, this is spoiler free... kind of. There's a 02x03 spoiler, but only if you've seen the episode would you know. The story itself takes place at the beginning of S2.

( It was the hottest day of the summer, and as Gene's luck would have it, he was stuck at CID with reports that he'd put off for too long, and a busted AC-unit. )
