I think it's supposed to not make much sense. Essentially, it's saying, "Your argument makes as much sense as this cat pushing a watermelon out of a lake."

And no, it is not supposed to make sense; I liken it to "I have no idea what you are saying, so here is a picture of a bunny with a pancake on its head", or, essentially, responding to an absurd statement with something more absurd.
