Attention Castle Hogwarts Students [Thursday October 1st, 2009] wildealf With a heavy heart I am sad to announce that Castle Hogwarts will be closing its doors. It’s amazing that this community has been around for five years and kept going a bit even when the series ended. But I am sure many of you saw this coming in the past months with the lack of activity. Lanna and I discussed this for a long time and we think that this decision is for the best. I took over the community almost two years ago when the same thing happened and managed to breathe some new life in it for awhile. I’ve been a part of this community for the past four years and I will miss it greatly. If there is anyone interested in adopting Castle Hogwarts please let me know by emailing me or leaving a comment here. Keep in mind that you will also inherit all of the sub-communities of the site as well. It’s been a great experience these past two years serving as your Headmistress and my pleasure too. Important Admin Announcement [Monday August 24th, 2009] wildealf [ mood | determined ] [ music | Happiness is a Warm Gun~ Across the Universe ] Good Morning Students! Things have been quite dead for the past few months and I've been racking my mind to figure out how to get things jump started again. I fear that we may have to close down the community if things don't pick up. Lanna and I had long conversations about this for a few weeks and we've decided that this upcoming Fall term may be the last session if things don't improve. But the term won't be able to take off if we don't have teachers. At the moment it seems that all of the professors have vanished. =/ All that we have right now are the contests that Lanna and myself are going to be posting. This means that we are in dire need of professors, so if any member of the community is interested in teaching respond to this post ASAP. News and Notes Winter/Spring Term 2009 Week #03 [Monday February 16th, 2009] wildealf [ music | Stitches~David Cook ] Welcome to week #03 of the Winter/Spring Term here castlehogwarts! During the weekend I went over to our Sorting community and the main community as well to update the Rules that were really out of date. These rules were made when we were a fairly active place. However, during the past year since I took up the position of being the Headmistress here things have changed a lot. We have only five old members from back in the day when this place was fairly active and remembers how things were handled back then and the few unspoken rules of the place. But now since this really is a fresh start for the community I think that the rules ought to change once again to avoid any confusion that may come about like on a recent sorting. Lanna and I will be going over these rules and making the changes this week to avoid things like this from happening again. As well we will hopefully have the Scavenger Hunt up too. I plan on getting a lot done since I have this week off from University. (YAY! Free time to practice my instrument for 4-6 hours a day now!) Sorting: Mel is on the stool waiting to be sorted!
