In ~~conspiracy~~ collaboration with nickespix and sammy38, we are proud to present the mcbeckchallenge community!

The focus of all stories is Carson and Rodney and rules can be found on the community info page. Challenges will be posted regularly and ficathons will happen twice a year. Our first challenge, "at first sight", is up for your participation.

We hope that this will help encourage more fic with our favorite guys, so please come and join us! All ratings accepted (and we hope for lots of hotness).

Hi @ all,
perhaps someone here can help me, I already tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. I'm desperately looking for a story I don't know title or author of. Just this:
-story is in English
-kind of alternative ending for "the eye"
- mainly about the relatinonship between Beckett and Ford, no slash
-Ford is angry at Beckett for not flying back to Atlantis earlier during the storm while Sheppard was in trouble
-story starts in the gateroom, where Weir and some others are waiting while a few people come back through the gate, including Beckett, he's injured (head injury?) and collapses, I think Ford was among them too)
-Sheppard later talks to Ford telling him he is wrong to blame Beckett for anything
-later Ford talks to Beckett, too
-I don't know the site the story was on, but the author writes in the story summary that he/she dind't like Ford's behavior towards Beckett during "the storm" and "the eye"
I'd guess quite some people here read Carson fiction, so maybe...

Carson/Paul fanbook

A friend and I were discussing the possibilty, a while ago, of doing a Paul McGillion Fan book. Now that we have discovered that he's going to be in London in May, and we can actually meet him and give it to him, we've decided to actually do it. I'd like to know if anyone would be willing to contribute to it?

A Fanbook is where lots of fans come together to 'appreciate' a certain fandom or character, and we decided that with Carson's death, we need to let Paul know how much we love him and loved Carson. Submissions can be of whatever you like, any length you like.

We do have one rule, however, and that is to please keep any ships/pairings out of the appreciation page because this is to congratulate Paul and while we're aware that they find it amusing sometimes, we don't want to draw attention to it in the fanbook.

If you're interested in contributing anything to the project you can e-mail me at angela8750@hotmail.com.

Also, if anyone can recommend any other Carson/Paul LJ coms, websites, yahoo groups that I may be able to post too, that would be great. We've already had a few submissions, but would like to get as many people involved as possible, I know that there are a lot of like minded Carson fans out there.

It's long been a fandom trope that, despite Weir's words upon embarkation, the Atlantis expedition was made up of people too good to fire, but too much trouble to keep-- the troublemakers, the ones with ethical issues, the ones with difficult personalities, the ones who knew too much about someone in power, the unlucky ones, the American military boys only still in by virtue of Don't Ask/Don't Tell, the ones accused of a crime or wrongdoing they didn't commit but who couldn't escape the suspicion afterwards.

Valentine's Day Graphics Challenge

Hello =D Over at ipaulmg we are holding a graphics comp with the theme "Valentine's Day". We're a little low on submissions and would love to have more to choose from in voting.

Participants can enter up to 3 of each type of graphic
Graphics can include icons, sigs, banners, wallpapers, photo manips, comic strips
Material in graphics can be any sort of picture of Paul McGillion (from conventions, films or episodes)
For icons apply the usual lj standards: 100 x 100 pixel, max size = 40 KB. Animated icons are allowed.
Banners should have a max size of 600 x 200 pixel and have two versions: signed and unsigned
For the wallpapers... Please send two versions. One small, unsigned preview with 800 x 600 pixel that can be used for the voting. And a bigger one (standard sizes, I'd say, 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 960) with your signature for the winner's post.

Join the comm and submit graphics at this post. And hurry - the deadline is this Sunday at 12:00am!!!
