Queue Closing
We would like to announce the temporary closing of the submission queue to unvalidated authors. We have a backlog of stories in our beta queue and with Phoenix Rising upcoming we need to get caught up. The Captains will be in New Orleans drinking representing the Quidditch Pitch.
From Friday, April 20th through Monday, May 28th, the queue will be closed. You can still submit your stories, they will simply be held unprocessed until after May 28th.
You can still participate in the challenge. All challenge fics should be emailed directly to annie@thequidditchpitch.org. Remember all challenge stories are subject to Terms of Submission but will not go through the beta process.
Any drabbles will still be posted as they do not require beta work.

May/June Monthly Challenge
The One With All the Endings Challenge
Time is drawing short for the Harry Potter series. In just a few months we'll have many of the answers we've been seeking since the first book. Everyone has their own theory about how the series will end and The Quidditch Pitch is challenging you to put quill to parchment and write your version of the ending.
This challenge will be a two-month long challenge, allowing authors the time to develop and organize their ideas.
The Rules - All stories must be a minimum of 500 words.
- All stories should be prebetad.
- All stories must be meet our submission guidelines.
- All stories must be submitted by 29 June 2007 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Voting will commence on 01 July 2007 and end on 12 July 2007.
- The winner will get a $10.00 gift certificate to the movie theater of their choice.

Monthly Challenge
It's the last few days for our April challenge!
April Fool's Day is a day traditionally dedicated to Fred and George Weasley. However, The Captains have decided that the ghosts of wizarding world want their shot. Therefore, we proudly announce our April challenge:
Hogwarts and many wizarding homes are inhabited by ghost and ghouls. They want to have a bit of fun this April Fools Day. They are bored, they have time on their hands, and they want to influence the lives of the living.
The Rules: - No word limit
- The stories will not be subject to beta
- All stories must have the ghost or ghouls influencing behavior, lives, and/or events.
- All stories are due by April 29, 2007 at 11:59 pm EST.
- No rating limit.
- Polls will go up on May 1, 2007.
You can use Ghosts in the Harry Potter Universe at the Lexicon for background. |
