About:

Snarry Canon is a community in which posters post only stories art and essays that are plausible under canon. No uber-fluffy-sexy-romantic-Snapes please. Characters are in canon, locations are those we've seen or heard of in canon and all minor characters are also in canon. No bitch!Hermione's or stupid-as-a-log-Ron's.

Snarry itself is not a canon occurance, so the pairing must be written as if it were canon. IE: It could take place in the books at some point in the time line so as not to interfear with the main plot in the books, such as Occulamency lessons, OR it takes place after Half-Blood Prince, which means anything you want.

All stories must have warnings and ratings as follows. (If I find a submission without it I'll delete it.)

Rating: PG through NC-17 fics. No G rated fics, we want to see some sort of kissing or romance involved.
Summary: Without spoilers please!
Warnings: If there are things that people might not like such as chan or non-con, let us know! Remember though that OOC characters and settings are not allowed. Fluff in your story must have a canon history attached to it somehow. But if you can make it canon, if you can lead up to it starting from a canon base, then go for it!

Why did I create this community? Well I've seen a lot of non-canon stuff on the internet and thought that people who like to read more canon based Snape/Harry might want a place to go. Plus I dig on ugly/greasy Snape. My Snape is never a handsome bugger, because he's not in the books. My fiction isn't always or really at all canon, but I want to make more canon based fics, and I'm pretty lenient so I won't be a dick about a few faux pas! Grammar and spelling is optional but proof reading significantly increases the readability of your stories. Nobody wants to read something that is cluttered and confusing.

Challenge Fest!

Every four months will be a challenge fest, where people can take the ideas that I write here, (you can suggest ideas for the challenge!) and make art/poetry/fics/essays for it!

Challenges,

1. Due to a potions accident in class, Snape becomes very sensitive to bright lights and loud noises, which makes him shun more active places of Hogwarts. Must take place before Half-Blood Prince, but does not have to lead up to Half-Blood Prince.

2. Post-HBP. Snape has been missing for awhile now, and Harry is embroiled in his search for the Horcruxes. But Hedwig goes missing for awhile, and returns to Harry with a simple rose in her beak. A rose that smells faintly of ashes and chai...(Of course its from Snape!)
The rose may or may not have love spell properties, it may or may not come with a note from Snape, Hedwig may or may not be on Snape's side in pairing him with Harry, you may decide!

These can also be done as works of art, if you wish!

Finally, as a challenge I would like everybody to create their own LJ icons to be used as the main image for this group! :D The best ones will get added to the community icon set permenantly!

If you can think up other ideas to add to this challenge, I'd love to see them! I may keep all challenge ideas for each fest and simple add onto them each round!
